A Congress leader from Maharashtra, Vishwabandhu has written a letter to party president Sonia Gandhi urging her to stop former CM of Madhya Pradesh Digvijay Singh from making alleged “anti-Hindu statements”. He alleged that Digvijay Singh, a member of his own camp, has been making anti-Hindu statements continuously for the last 18 years. In such a situation, the party is suffering, the party should immediately silence him and if this does not happen, then the party may have to suffer further.
Vishwabandhu said in a letter to Sonia Gandhi that Digvijay Singh has been continuously angering the Hindu voters of the party ever since Madhya Pradesh ousted him from power in 2003. He has written, ‘Digvijay Singh is constantly trying to hurt the sentiments of Hindus to please a particular section of voters. Recently, by talking about Article 370 in Kashmir, he has also angered the remaining Hindu voters of the party. ‘The Congress party made him in charge of Goa, where despite emerging as the single largest party in the assembly elections, we failed to form the government. This was also the result of the irresponsible behaviour of Digvijay Singh. During his in-charge, the party also suffered in the dominant states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana,’ as reported by New18.
Recently in a leaked chat with a Pakistani journalist on Clubhouse, Congress leader Digvijay Singh said that if Congress comes back to power, it might reconsider the abrogation of Article 370. Singh’s remarks caused a big storm on Twitter. The Rajya Sabha MP faced a lot of backlash from many quarters.

Meanwhile, the most interesting thing is that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi also stood against the removal of Article 370. Not only this, but Rahul Gandhi had also tweeted and warned the Indian government about the security concerns in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Vishwabandhu, the party is suffering because Digvijay Singh in every state continuously for the last 18 years, has always been making anti-Hindu remarks such as “People wearing saffron robes are committing rapes inside temples and selling churan.” Earlier, Singh had also alleged that RSS “runs bomb-making factories to spread terrorism in the country” and had demanded a probe. He also alleged “All Hindu terrorists who were caught have links with RSS. Nathuram Godse, who assassinated Mahatma Gandhi, was also an RSS functionary. Their ideology spreads hatred, rears violence and from violence, breeds terrorism.”
Congress leader Vishwabandhu has also sent a cartoon of Digvijay Singh in his letter written to Sonia. He further wrote, ‘Despite all this, giving him important responsibilities, post and membership of Rajya Sabha is giving a wrong effect on the mentality of the voters. Please take my words seriously and take immediate action against them.’
The minority appeasement politics of Congress is becoming clear from this letter written by the Congress leader. This letter has exposed the importance is given to the leaders having anti-Hindu side in the Congress party.
Singh’s comments have hurt a lot of Hindu sentiments to please a particular class of voters. These manipulative tactics and drama should stop or it won’t take too long for the party to merely be a part of the history. Even his own party doesn’t take him seriously and had accused him of hobnobbing with jihadi elements.
