Adani Cement has marked the festive season of Navratri and Durga Puja with an extraordinary tribute to Maa Durga, using 15,000 cement bags to create a monumental aerial image of the goddess at its Kymore plant in Madhya Pradesh. The installation, spread across a 70-by-70-foot area, combines religious symbolism, industrial materials and collective effort in a striking display that becomes fully visible when viewed from above.

The initiative, titled Jahan Vishwas, Wahan Shakti (Where There Is Trust, There Is Strength), brings together faith, tradition and the values associated with two major cement brands in the company’s portfolio: ACC and Ambuja Cements. The project reportedly represents 750 tonnes of cement and required a collective 12,600 man-hours to complete.

The scale of the installation is impressive, but its visual impact lies in the way thousands of ordinary cement bags have been transformed into a recognisable image of Maa Durga. Arranged with precision across the expansive ground, the bags collectively form the goddess’s crown, eyes, ten arms and flowing figure. From ground level, the arrangement appears to be a vast collection of individual units. The complete image emerges dramatically when the camera rises into the air.

For Adani Cement, the installation offers an opportunity to connect a product traditionally associated with construction and infrastructure with India’s rich cultural and religious heritage. Cement bags, usually seen at building sites and warehouses, have become the building blocks of an artistic expression celebrating one of Hinduism’s most revered goddesses.

The campaign also seeks to bring together two central ideas represented by the company’s brands. ACC is associated with trust, drawing on its long-standing presence in the Indian cement industry, while Ambuja Cements represents strength. Through the image of Maa Durga, who is widely worshipped as an embodiment of power, courage and protection, the campaign links these themes with the spirit of Navratri and Durga Puja.

The choice of Kymore is significant in the context of the company’s industrial history. ACC’s cement plant in the Madhya Pradesh town was established in 1923, giving the location a legacy spanning more than a century. The surrounding community also has a longstanding tradition of celebrating Ram Leela, reflecting the continuing importance of religious festivals in local cultural life.

By creating the installation at this location, Adani Cement has placed the campaign within a setting that combines industrial heritage with established cultural traditions. The initiative also highlights the role of workers and coordinated planning in bringing an ambitious visual concept to life. Positioning 15,000 bags across a carefully measured area would require sustained attention to alignment, spacing and the overall composition.

The making of the tribute has been documented in a digital film intended for the company’s online and social media platforms. The film follows the process of arranging the cement bags before gradually revealing the finished artwork from an aerial perspective. This progression allows viewers to see how thousands of separate elements combine to form one unified image.

The project is also a reminder of how companies increasingly use cultural occasions to communicate their identities beyond conventional advertising. Rather than relying solely on product displays or promotional messages, the campaign uses a large-scale physical installation to tell a story about trust, strength and collective endeavour.

For Adani Cement, the choice of Maa Durga carries particular resonance during Navratri and Durga Puja, when millions of devotees across India celebrate the goddess’s power and the triumph of good over evil. The installation translates those familiar religious associations into a visual format that can be appreciated by audiences well beyond the plant itself through photographs and video.

The campaign’s title, Jahan Vishwas, Wahan Shakti, captures its central message: trust and strength can work together to achieve something remarkable. It also connects the symbolism of the goddess with the company’s construction materials, which are used to build homes, workplaces and infrastructure.

According to reports, the company describes the project as a first-of-its-kind aerial tribute by a cement manufacturer using packed cement bags. Its combination of scale, careful arrangement and religious imagery distinguishes it from a conventional festive promotion.

Ultimately, the Kymore installation demonstrates how an industrial site can become the setting for a distinctive cultural expression. By bringing together 15,000 cement bags, thousands of hours of work and the enduring symbolism of Maa Durga, Adani Cement has created a festive tribute that turns an everyday construction material into an expansive visual celebration of faith, strength and unity.
