Nikhil began his career as a film assistant director at Hyderabad Nawabs (2006). Before being cast in Happy Days, he had little parts in a number of movies (2007). Nikhil portrayed one of the four leads in the Sekhar Kammula-directed movie.
Nikhil Siddharth received a salary of $25,000 for his work in the movie, and he still carries the check around with him. One of the few low-budget movies released in 2007 that went on to become one of the most popular films of that year was Happy Days.
Ankit, Pallavi & Friends was his debut solo leading role movie (2008). Yuvatha (2008), Kalavar King (2010), Aalasyam Amrutham (2010), and Veedu Theda were some of the movies he appeared in (2011).
His next role was in Swamy Ra Ra (2013), which marked a significant career turning point. In 2014, he released Karthikeya, which was both critically and financially successful. It cost 15 crores to produce, yet it made over 68 crores at the box office.
Nikhil collaborated once more with Swamy Ra Ra director Sudheer Varma in 2017 for the vengeance drama Keshava. The movie “Karthikeya 2” by Nikhil Siddharth became a smashing success. Success in the international and Hindi markets brought up a new revenue stream for his films.
The youthful actor is one of the few middle-class Telugu stars to have given a film with a gross of about Rs 100 crore.
He is reportedly aiming to raise his compensation to between Rs 10 and 12 Cr.

He attended Hyderabad Public School before earning his degree in engineering and technology from Muffakham Jah College. Before dying on April 28, 2022, his father battled the rare disease corticobasal degeneration for eight years.
