He is a former General Secretary of the Karnataka Pradesh Janata Dal and a member of the Legislative Assembly in Karnataka (Secular). Khan formerly served as the Karnataka government’s Hajj and Wakf Board Minister.

National Travels
National Travels was founded in 1930 by Mr. B.P. Basheer Ahmed Khan. His sons took over, and the first bus service, known as the ‘Karnataka Express,’ was established between Bengaluru and Belagavi through Hubballi. Mr. Zameer Ahmed Khan and his brothers, the company’s second generation, are currently in charge.
