‘Lord’ Nazir Ahmed, a former Pakistani-origin Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom and heartthrob of the liberals and the anti-India lobby has been convicted of paedophilia. The Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday (January 5) convicted Nazir of attempting to rape a young girl and sexually assaulting a boy under the age of 11 In the 1970s.
Nazir’s older brothers — Mohammed Farouq (71) and Mohammed Tariq (65), were co-accused in the case involving the abuse of a minor boy but were deemed unfit to stand trial. The 64-year-old pleaded not guilty but an audio-recording conversation between him and the victim girl emerged and it proved to be the final nail in the coffin for Nazir.
Remove his title: UK politicians
According to a BBC report, Conservative MP Mr Stafford has started a petition calling for Nazir’s title to be removed, describing it as “an insult to his victims”.
Stafford said, “There is no getting away from the fact that this paedophile has a peerage and this is absolutely and categorically unacceptable. He should be stripped of this immediately.
Earlier, in 2020, Nazir was forced to resign from the House of Lords after once again, he was accused of exploiting his position to obtain sexual favours from a woman.
Nazir and his intrinsic hatred for India
As reported by TFI, the controversial member of the House of Lords had been behind the mischievous black day that was observed on India’s Republic Day in 2018 by divisive elements in London.
Nazir had then stated that the protests were for supporting Kashmiri militancy, reviving Khalistan disturbance and insurgency in the North-East. He had also hired five private billboard vans with slogans such as ‘Free Kashmir,’ ‘Free Khalistan,’ ‘Free Assam,’ ‘Free Nagaland,’ and ‘Free Manipur.’
Nazir had also suggested that the Indian minorities stand up against their own country in the garb of discrimination. He directly attacked the Union of India and the R&AW showcasing great jealousy and insecurity towards India. Nazir, as it turns out is a good friend of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, and they met each other, two months ago.

Showing his allegiances to the Khalistani movement, in November last year, Nazir took to Twitter to share a video of Khalistan terrorist groups conducting a bogus referendum in Westminster. It was the second attempt by the Khalistan elements to conduct a referendum as such but other than a little chatter, it amounted to nothing.

Apart from his hatred for Hindus and essentially Indians, Nazir has been accused of anti-Semitism as well. When sentenced to prison in connection with a fatal car accident in 2007, Nazir had referred to the sentence, which was later reduced by a court of appeals, as a “Jewish conspiracy.”
The final verdict and sentencing in the case will be announced next month on February 4 by Judge Mr Justice Lavender. Till then, he has been granted bail.
