It’s been 11 days since the killing of Gauri Lankesh, a Naxal sympathizing purported journalist whom only a handful knew or read until the jockeys of jingoistic pluralism played derby over her death to indoctrinate yet another innings of intolerance! The media, the left, Congress and their Commie comrades have been swift in doing what they do best – to orchestrate and vilify the RSS or Hindutva or Modi at the drop of a hat for almost anything and everything. And this has been the traditional history of most historians/academicians/journalists/intellectuals in India who have been eulogized as eminent for offering their souls in subservience and hypothecating their hypocritic minds to play as second fiddle amidst the filth of power formulas! But this established pattern has rebounded this time around leaving the left literattis red faced! Firstly it was Gauri’s brother who refused to join the coterie and stood his ground exposing and embarrassing the hawk politics.
And now the BJP’s Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has filed a defamation case against Leftist Historian Ram Chandra Guha for his statements that he gave in an interview to Scroll.in, linking the murder of Dhabolkar, Phansare, Kalburgi and now Gauri Lankesh to the Sangh Parivar even when the investigations are still on or had not even begun.
Political murders and killing are not a new phenomenon in the Communist and Congress polity nor is their distorting and digressing tactics with blatant lies something unknown. In the past there have been many political murders and murders that have been given a political angle much before any suggestive or conclusive evidence, a case in point is the Kalburgi murder that remains sluggishly unresolved till date in spite of all the saffron hue and cry that it was made out to be; but what the right wing had not comprehended or perhaps helplessly watched was how the political judgements by an alleged eminent few shaped public opinions even when there was no merit of fact.
It is for this reason that for a very long time the Sangh and their brand of ideology had been met with condescending hate or hesitance but not anymore in these times of social media and internet! Not anymore in these times where political news is so passionately consumed by the public. Never has the Indian public been so intrigued or engaged with the political discourses and developments as today. Today history can be read and understood from various sources and from various perspectives and the common man understands that our history was never written from an Indian perspective as historians have always had to be approved by the British until recently.
The common man can see through the crafty narratives of pseudo historians and intellectuals and it is this ground reality that people like Ram Chandra Guha need to concede that India today is much more intelligible and initiated and that they cannot be blindly fed with farcical and fascist theories of leftist lies anymore! It is really time that the opposition rediscovered itself and reinvented its political narratives as they cannot sustain for long merely on counterproductive politics of polarization by simply vilifying the dominant disposition all the time with nothing substantial to offer. Neither endangered eminence of historians nor propping a dunce hippie on an international university platform can resuscitate the lost credibility of the opposition as even time-tested patterns of polity are bound to become obsolete and lose relevance when they do not adapt and conform to the nature of changing times and requirements.
Also, the right wing that has been demonized for far too long seems determined not to remain indifferent or hapless towards unsubstantiated libelous statements being passed off as creative freedom of expression anymore!
And perhaps it is the only option left to reiterate to the left that they cannot continue to sabotage the truth at the cost of defaming a belief system of an entire civilization to send out a serious message that enough is enough.
A mysterious murder that happened in the state of Karnataka under a Congress regime cannot craftily be passed off as an act by BJP or RSS when the investigations are still ongoing and when there is every possibility that the left wing or perhaps even some Congressmen themselves could have orchestrated the whole turn of events by picking up an irrelevant journo who had served her time, in the hope to pull the last political string!
Gauri Lankesh’s publication was all but a small speck lost in the ocean of publications floating around where she herself was convicted for fake news and was scrambling to keep herself relevant by adopting anti-nationals like Kanhaiyya as her son to be seen around in the communist corridors.
Also there was nothing fearless or journalistic about the brand of anti-Hindu biases that Gauri carried out casually as journalism throughout her life as there are several hundreds of others making a career out there by slandering Hindus and Hinduism day in and day out. It was not that she had critiqued the regressive practices in Islam or questioned the superstitious evangelism carried out by missionaries that she could be called fearless, so the question remains as to who silenced her and why, and until such time where there is conclusive evidence about the perpetrators of the crime, people like Mr. Ram Chandra Guha will be better off reading the constitution and understanding the thin line of legal difference between dissent and defamation because the more they speak the more they will be exposed!
