The Communist parties are notorious for their allegiance toward the communist nation, China. Their abhorrent ideologies have been out rightly rejected by the Indian voters. Voters have thrown the communist ideology into the dustbin. The communists are now reduced to the confines of few institutions like JNU and in the state of Kerala. Their hatred for Hindus and anti-India statements are an open secret. The same vile attitude of Communist has been witnessed in Kerala again.
Seditious statement
Kerala MLA K T Jaleel wrote a facebook post describing his recent visit to Kashmir. In the post he made several provocative statements. To woo his vote bank, he made ‘anti-national statements’. In the post, he described Jammu and Kashmir as “Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir”. Further, he went on to call Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) as “Azad Kashmir.” Apparently, he is not a rookie. He served as a Minister in the LDF government. He is also a close-aide of Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan.
MLA K T Jaleel said, “The part of Kashmir annexed to Pakistan was known as Azad Kashmir. Pakistan only controls currency and military in the area. The Pakistan government does not possess much power in the POK”.

Further, he added that the “Indian Occupied Kashmir” consisted of Jammu, Kashmir Valley and Ladakh.
In an attempt to target the Modi government, he insinuated charges of ‘caging’ on the J&K administration and Indian army. He claimed that people of Kashmir valley are unhappy with the abrogation of Article 370.
He said, “Kashmir’s face was not bright enough and soldiers with guns could be seen everywhere. The people of Kashmir had forgotten to laugh.”
A massive backlash erupted after he made these ‘anti-national’ statements. Saffron party leaders lambasted the close aide of CM. BJP state President K Surendran called him a traitor.
Jaleel said, “You cannot expect a pro-India stand from a former SIMI leader, K.T.Jaleel MLA. Pakistan apologists like him are peddling fake narratives regarding Kashmir. This CPIM Kerala leader has insulted our armed forces and negated India’s official position on Kashmir. He is a traitor.”

He is not in the news for the first time. In 2020, the Enforcement Directorate grilled the former SIMI leader K T Jaleel. He allegedly had links with the gold smuggling case that used the diplomatic channel to further their smuggling activities.
In April 2021, he was forced to resign from his post of Kerala Higher Education Minister. This came in the wake of the Lokayukta report against him.

Parliament has Casted it in stone
Indian Parliament has made it categorically clear that the entire area of Jammu and Kashmir is Indian territory including the part which has been forcefully occupied by Pakistan. On 22 February 1994, both the houses of parliament adopted the resolution stating the irrefutable fact that the entire Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh have been, are and shall be an integral part of India.

So, it is shameful and outrageous that a public representative is toeing the line of our arch rival Pakistan. However, it is foolhardy to expect patriotism from a former SIMI leader. Moreover, such statement from a communist ideolog is not a surprise. The only worrying thing is that he is a public representative who is speaking against the interest of the nation
However, time has come to set an example for such seditious statements. Those who speak against the interest of the nation should be debar from their public posts and should be booked under relevant sections of law.
