Alleged serial fake news peddler and Washington Post intern Rana Ayyub on Saturday was forced to visit the Loni Police Station to record her statement in front of the police. After being booked for spreading fake news through the assault video of one Abdul Samad Saifi, Rana had received anticipatory bail from the Bombay High Court but still had to travel all the way to Loni to face the grilling by the UP Police.
According to media reports, Rana Ayyub folded rather quickly and accepted her blunder and remarked that she tweeted the video without verifying the facts and just looking at some unsubstantiated reports. Rana most certainly was referring to AltNews co-founder Mohammed Zubair who had first shared the video that started the cascading effect as nearly every left-liberal sepoy of the country picked up the video and started ostracising the Hindus.

In the questioning that lasted well over two hours, Rana was asked 24 questions by Supretendient of Police (Rural) Dr. Iraj Raja. As mentioned earlier, the first and the main question the police asked Rana was why she tweeted the video without confirming its veracity. Similarly, the second question posed her way was when did she tweet the video and after how long did she delete the misleading video.
As reported by TFI, the Ghaziabad Police on June 15 had booked eight people, including AltNews co-founder Mohammed Zubair, besides three Congress leaders and Saba Naqvi. The FIR was lodged under sections 153 (wantonly giving provocation with intent to cause riot), 153A (promoting enmity between groups on grounds of religion, class, etc), 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious belief) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Both Zubair and Naqvi have already registered their presence in front of the Loni Police and submitted their statements.

As reported by TFI, recently an SP (Samajwadi Party) leader named Ummed Pahalwan Idrisi emerged as the main culprit for orchestrating the entire chain of events. An FIR has been filed against him for trying to incite communal tension in the society through his nefarious videos.
Reportedly, Pahalwan appeared in a Facebook Live video with Abdul Saifi after the assault on June 7 and claimed that Abdul, the ‘tabeez’ seller was beaten by miscreants who forced him to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogans.
All was going perfectly fine according to the script until Ghaziabad Police decided to debunk the bogus narrative being peddled by Islamists and their liberal stooges. The police also identified the perpetrators as Arif, Adil, Kallu, Polli, Mushahid, and one Parvez Gujjar.
The likes of Rana Ayyub, Mohammed Zubair had already started the process of spreading vitriol on the online platforms by posting the video, sans the audio, and giving it the spin that Idrisi wanted.
When the UP Police busted their nefarious plans and lodged an FIR against the lot, Mohammed Zubair came up with a statement where he conveniently forgot to apologise but was forced to delete the video.
Zubair tweeted, “I’ve deleted the videos that I had posted. The victim’s version of him being forced to chant “Jai Shri Ram” at this point in time do not seem to add up based on my conversations with police authorities and other journalists reporting on this issue.”

The curse and bad luck of the Tabeez was reportedly the main reason Abdul Samad Saifi was thrashed by his assaulters. The fact that Rana, claiming herself to be a ‘journalist’ tweeted the video without verifying the facts speaks volumes about her credentials as one. And thus it appears that the curse of the tabeez has now enchanted Rana Ayyub and Mohammed Zubair as the UP Police ensnares them in its net.
Who could have guessed that Abdul’s tabeez can do few tricks.
As long as these tricks for good cause then why not.
Thanks to Abduls taveez these demons have been brought to light.
So Rana has confessed to the wrongdoing. What next? Will she get scot-free to do the same thing again and again?
Indian laws and judiciary are very week in enforcing the laws and thus these repeat offenders are committing countless offenses and yet walking free. Until genuine citizens stand up for the country demand strong action on these criminals, nothing good happens.
