The only female presidential candidate left in the fray, Hawaii Representative and a Hindu democratic congresswoman, Tulsi Gabbard on Thursday (5 March), pointed out the presence of rampant Hinduphobia in the US and how she herself has been a victim multiple times. Gabbard herself has in the past faced Hinduphobia which included her getting called a “devil worshipper” during her 2016 re-election campaign. Malicious and hateful snides have been made against her. Links have been drawn between Tulsi and the RSS due to her Hindu faith.

The moment Tulsi came out with the tweet, entire left and liberal cabal across the globe started attacking Tulsi, dubbing her a fascist and bigot for calling out the obvious. The seculars of the world and especially the west deride everyone who is a Hindu nationalist. Tulsi has been an admirer of the Modi government and that certainly did not boil down well with the hateful brigade.
It has increasingly become the norm when someone talks about Hinduphobia, he/she is given sermons that it is not even real while there are several incidents that prove otherwise. The whataboutery that the ‘peacefuls’ engaged in, proved the point Tulsi was trying to make. A twitter user pointed out how Hinduphobia, if not mainstream or severe, is real and genuine.

Tulsi has on many fronts called out Hinduphobia prevalent in America and she has had to pay for it dearly in the form of a total corporate media blackout of her presidential campaign ever since she started running for it. She failed to gain any delegates in the Iowa caucuses and came in seventh place in New Hampshire last week and has been struggling to keep pace since then.
Tulsi has previously called out lies of paid-intern and Islamist sympathizer reporter Rana Ayyub. Last year during the Howdy Modi rally, Ayyub had tweeted a story titled “Tulsi Gabbard Refuses Invitation to “Howdy Modi” Event in Texas”.
The article quotes anonymous sources and explains how Tulsi Gabbard has now started distancing herself from PM Modi, RSS, and Hindutva cause after being associated with them for a long time.
However, Tulsi hit back exposing Rana Ayyub “This article is misinformed. I’m not attending the Houston event due to previously scheduled presidential campaign events. However, I’m hoping to meet PM Modi on his visit to discuss the importance of maintaining the strong partnership of the world’s oldest & largest democracies.”
She had openly confronted CNN and Reza Aslan for their despicable coverage of the world’s third-largest religion. In a Facebook post, she decried CNN’s and Reza Aslan’s attempts to sensationalize coverage to show Hinduism in poor light, e.g. the showing of a group of Hindus under the caption ‘Cannibals’. Tulsi Gabbard blasted CNN for their blatantly false coverage which spoils inter-community relations, leading to ethnic slurs, hate crimes and whatnot.
She has become the target of the progressive lynch mob precisely because she does not fit into the category of the ‘glamorized’ minority, as a section which thrives on the narrative of ‘victimhood’. As a result, it is comparatively easy to spew anything against Tulsi. The western media and politicians do not like that a Hindu democratic candidate is giving them a hard time.
Therefore to get her approval ratings down, Hilary Clinton hurled indirect accusations at Gabbard accusing her of being groomed by the Russians for third-party run. “I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate. She’s the favourite of the Russians.” the former Democrat Presidential nominee said. Though Tulsi royally destroyed her by calling “You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption”,
The discrimination that Hindus face is real, but for the pseudo-seculars to not accept the reality of it shows their Hinduphobia and the bigotry they practice. Tulsi might not make the democratic nominee for her pro-Hindu stand but she would go down as a leader who showed the true colors of the west and their apparent Hinduphobia.
