From Godse’s revolver to suicide for ‘Moksh’: MP Congress goes bonkers after Scindia’s exit

Short circuit in the brain

It’s official, Congress has really lost it. After Jyotiradtiya Scindia rather gallantly dumped the Congress outfit on the occasion of Holi and took with him the entire Kamal Nath government in a flurry, things have gone from bad to worse. Scindia’s exit is one of the telling blows for the country’s oldest party and as a result, its leaders have started a smear campaign to quell its own misery which has engulfed the entirety of Congress.

Former Chief Minister and Congress leader Digvijaya Singh took a jibe at his former party colleague, stating that “May God keep him safe in BJP”. Since Scindia switched sides, Digvijaya has been constantly tweeting and targeting him. In one of the tweets, he wrote, ‘The revolver used by Nathuram Godse to kill Mahatma Gandhi was provided by Parchure of Gwalior.’ Digvijaya did not take the name of Scindia but his target was evidently Jyotiraditya Scindia who is the scion of the erstwhile royal family of Gwalior. Although the tweet borders on the line of absurdity but whatever floats Mr. Digvijaya’s boat, after all the loss of a big leader like Scindia was always bound to sting.

Also the revolver by which Godse killed Mahatma Gandhi was given to him by one Parchure from Gwalior. Need to do some more research about who was Parchure.

— Digvijaya Singh (@digvijaya_28) March 11, 2020

One would expect Digvijaya Singh to show some decorum and respect to his former party colleague as he is the same person who referred to the Al-Qaeda terrorist Osama-bin-laden as Osama Ji. Clearly, Digvijaya took the phrase “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (The whole world is a family) a notch above here.

Preparations are in full swing by the BJP to welcome Scindia on a grand scale ahead of his return to Madhya Pradesh. Since his joining in BJP, MP Congress and party leaders have been targeting Scindia for betraying the 18-year-long association with the party. In a related incident, some miscreant elements (which most probably would have been miffed Congress party workers) threw ink on posters. The posters were put up near Polytechnic Chouraha in Bhopal, to welcome Madhavrao’s son into the BJP party fold.

The posters feature Scindia along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP chief Jagat Prakash Nadda. The MP unit of BJP has prepared posters, banners, and a red carpet to welcome Scindia to the party.

This is not all. The MP Congress Twitter handle went berserk and started tweeting absolute gibberish in an attempt to get back at Scindia. Congress definitely came out as a sore-loser in the proceedings and behaved like a typical crest-fallen teenager who had its heartbroken for the first time.

In one of the tweets, it stated, “11 members of family in Burari committed suicide to obtain moksha. Jyotiraditya Scindia joined BJP in hope of better future. Both unfortunate incidents will have same fate.”

pic.twitter.com/nGM64j0dV5

— MP Congress (@INCMP) March 11, 2020

pic.twitter.com/8ZtnOolNQd

— MP Congress (@INCMP) March 11, 2020

फिर भी मोदी-शाह की शरण में ? pic.twitter.com/bABGfFuYc5

— MP Congress (@INCMP) March 11, 2020

pic.twitter.com/6kIkUQGrqw

— MP Congress (@INCMP) March 11, 2020

Congress is in dire straits across the country but it needs to understand that it is a national and oldest party of the country. But to behave like this shows the level of incompetency that brews across the party-cabal. The leadership of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi is already making things worse for the party.

On Wednesday, Scindia joined BJP in New Delhi in the presence of party President JP Nadda. He had resigned from Congress a day earlier after meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Scindia will file his nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections on March 13.

While BJP lapped up the opportunity to welcome a young and charismatic leader with open arms, Congress, on the other hand, threw him under the bus in a heartbeat. Congress needs to remember that the ‘junta’ sees everything and the child-like antics it has been resorting to, is not bringing anything positive to their fore.
