Rahul Gandhi and his sycophants in the Congress party and media play good cop, bad cop

Condemning the latest attack on the CRPF convoy in the Pulwama district of Jammu & Kashmir, Congress President Rahul Gandhi, in a tweet, wrote, “This is a time of mourning, sadness, & respect. We are fully supporting the govt. of India and our security forces. We are not going to get into any other conversation apart from this”.

This is a commendable act by the Congress President, extending his support to the NDA government sidelining the political rivalry. However, what caught the eye is the reaction of the liberal establishment on this gesture of Rahul Gandhi’s. Journalists from across the spectrum started lauding the Gandhi scion for showing maturity after the Pulwama attacks, as if it is the first time someone chose to look beyond their party in the history of Indian Politics.

Praising Rahul Gandhi, India Today journalist, Shiv Aroor said, “Rahul Gandhi shows true leadership, maturity at this time. Bravo, Rahul”.

While Congress spokespersons go on an embarrassing tirade, @RahulGandhi shows true leadership, maturity at this time. Bravo, Rahul. https://t.co/bpbO1qNpSo

— Shiv Aroor (@ShivAroor) February 15, 2019

Another mouthpiece of the liberal cabal, Barkha Dutt too thanked Rahul Gandhi for his ‘political sensitivity’ (isn’t that obvious). In her tweet, she wrote:

Thank you @RahulGandhi this is political sensitivity. Hope all netas take a cue from this and shut up and let the military do its job. https://t.co/Grugwn8v6j

— barkha dutt (@BDUTT) February 15, 2019

Another person showcasing the ‘epitome of hypocrisy’, Nistula Hebbar, Editor of The Hindu, also praised the statement issued by the Gandhi scion.

Good message from the principle opposition party and it’s president @RahulGandhi who says “This is a time of mourning, sadness, & respect. We are fully supporting the govt of India and our security forces. We are not going to get into any other conversation apart from this.”

— Nistula Hebbar (@nistula) February 15, 2019

In the same tone, activist-politician, Yogendra Yadav admired Gandhi’s statement and added, “Hope all other opposition leaders follow this line. Appeal to the media to exercise restraint in reports and debates. Let’s all respond as one united and mature nation. Let this not be an election issue”.

Very sensible reaction from @RahulGandhi. Hope all other opposition leaders follow this line. Appeal to the media to exercises restraint in reports and debates.
Let's all respond as one united and mature nation.
Let this not be an election issue. https://t.co/E5Mysv8HKh

— Yogendra Yadav (@_YogendraYadav) February 15, 2019

Following the footstep of other hypocrite, Aditya Raj Kaul of Republic TV too lionized the comment of the Congress President. In his tweet, Republic journalist wrote:

Good statement by Rahul Gandhi on the Pulwama terror attack. Time is for all politicians across ideologies to unite behind the nation to give a befitting response to the perpetrators of terrorism. Hope PM addresses the nation and Govt immediately calls an all party meeting.

— Aditya Raj Kaul (@AdityaRajKaul) February 15, 2019

Imagine how low the bar has been set for Rahul Gandhi. Clearly, nobody expected such a stance from the person who said ‘khoon ki dalaali‘ and ‘ the money (30,00 crores that Ambani allegedly stole) could be given to you when you die you die in a plane crash‘. Not only that, Rahul Gandhi should also have to answer for his party leaders who are trying to gain political mileage out of the situation. It seems like the Grand Old party leaders are taking the ‘good cop bad cop’ approach.

In the mean time, some people have caught the bluff of the mainstream media and responded to it. Taking a jibe at the Gandhi scion, BJP election strategist, Shubhrastha exposed the hypocrisy of Rahul Gandhi, who seems to be fond of the Chinese.  In her tweet, she wrote:

Those patting @RahulGandhi on the back must DEMAND that this man who met Chinese officials twice in absolute opaqueness must use his hotline to China and ask them to condemn Jaish and Pakistan. Until then, don’t expect civility from angry population on cute, hollow politics.

— शुभ्रास्था (Shubhrastha) (@Shubhrastha) February 15, 2019

Another member of the Twitterati, Reshmi Das Gupta questioned the ill-intent of the Congress party and wrote:

This is good cop-bad cop. @RahulGandhi keeps quiet but lets his @INCIndia minions continue the vilifying. https://t.co/f74B1zypC6

— Reshmi Dasgupta (@ReshmiDG) February 15, 2019

Further exposing the liberal cabal’s agenda reporting, BJP spokesperson, Nupur Sharma wrote, “Please also ask your ‘coveted’ spokespersons and leaders to refrain from name-calling our defence veterans on TV – seriously is beyond pardonable esp at this hour!”

:@RahulGandhi Please also ask your ‘coveted’ spokespersons and leaders to refrain from name-calling our defence veterans on TV – seriously is beyond pardonable esp at this hour!

— Nupur Sharma (@NupurSharmaBJP) February 15, 2019

One other Twitterati, Alo Pal, wrote, “There’s no need to fall backward in appreciating the words of Rahul Gandhi in the aftermath of Pulwama. Wishing for an eventual death of a Pilot is as perverted an act of terror as it gets. Detest the fawning n likes and retweets of his statement creeping up my timeline. STOP IT!”

There's no need to fall backward in appreciating the words of @RahulGandhi in the aftermath of #Pulwara

Wishing for an éventual death of a Pilot is as perverted an act of terror as it gets

Detest the fawning n likes and retweets of his statement creeping up my timeline

STOP IT

— Alo Pal (@AloPal) February 15, 2019

The whole narration of the main stream media around the statement of the Gandhi scion exposed the sycophancy promoted in the Congress Party as well as the media which is the fourth pillar of democracy.
