Five Congress leaders working to make sure BJP wins 2019

As the Lok Sabha elections are approaching, the Congress leaders have started uttering controversial remarks against Hindu religion and PM Modi for whom they have incipient hatred. The controversial statements made by the Congress leaders is only going to harm the political and electoral prospects of their own party as it did in 2014 general elections. In their lust for power, the Congress leaders often forget the basic decorum and violate the limits of civility. The nasty remarks of the Congress leaders against the leaders of their principal opponent- the BJP- not only anger the members of the BJP but common people of the nation also abhor such uncivilized behavior. This hatred is then manifested at the polling booths with utter rejection of Congress, as has been evident.

Next Lok Sabha elections are around the corner and the Congress party does not have any solid issue to target the BJP and that’s why they are completely rattled. In their frustration, the Congress leaders are repeating the same mistake of targeting PM Modi in the most derogatory language possible. Recently, the Congress President said that ‘PM Modi chor hai’. Such abusive remarks might give temporary satisfaction to the Congress party but in the long run such statements are only going to help the BJP. Just like 2014 general elections, some leaders of the Congress party are going to play a key role in the BJP’s victory in the next year’s Lok Sabha elections. Following is the list of five Congress leaders who are going to make the road to victory easy for the BJP:

1.) Mani Shankar Aiyar

The senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar is notorious for giving controversial remarks. His remarks are not only aimed at attacking PM Modi but sometimes they also seem like a deliberate attempt to belittle the nation. In the runup to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, it was Mani Shankar Aiyar who mocked PM Modi’s background as a tea seller, dismissing the possibility of BJP winning the elections. We all know what happened next. PM Modi made tea seller his identity and went on to use it in every rally. He became a symbol of the triumph of a common hard working against the elitist snobs.

Even after a resounding defeat, Mani Shankar Aiyar didn’t stop with his antics. Months before he atrociously justified the Paris terror attacks in 2015, Mani Shankar Aiyar came in news for all the wrong reasons. In an interview to the Dawn News, Mr. Aiyar labeled Modi as the ‘root cause’ of the enmity between India and Pakistan, and that it was necessary to oust him from power, in order to initiate peace talks between India and Pakistan.

During the Gujarat election campaign, he used casteist slur on PM Modi. When PM Modi criticised Congress for trying to undermine the role of Ambedkaar, Mani Shankar Aiyar responded with “Mujhko lagta hai ki ye aadmi bahut neech kisam ka aadmi hai, isme koi sabhyata nahi hai, or aise mauke par is kisam ki gandi rajniti karne ki kya avashyakta hai?” After his remark, Aiyar was suspended from the party; later on the Congress revoked his suspension in August this year.

Aiyar has also referred PM Modi as snake, scorpion and joker.

However, the abuse-Modi-game was started by Sonia Gandhi when she called PM Modi “Maut ka Saudagar” blaming him for 2002 riots, conveniently forgetting the Sikh genocide that happened under the able guardianship of her late husband.

2.) Shashi Tharoor

The senior Congress leader, Shashi Tharoor has repeatedly hurt the feelings and sentiments of Hindus with nasty and anti-Hindu remarks. In July, he said that India will become a Hindu-Pakistan if the BJP comes back to power again in 2019. It was a deliberate attempt to polarize the minority community. The term ‘Hindu-Pakistan’ is oxymoron but it still didn’t stop Mr. Tharoor from saying it and branding the majority community as evil. His comments had caused a wave of anger across the country against the INC.

Now, Shashi Tharoor has come up with even more absurd and anti-Hindu statement. The darling of leftist-liberal has taken it upon himself the responsibility of issuing certificate of ‘Good Hindu and Bad Hindu’. Tharoor strongly believes that ‘Bad Hindus’ are those who want a Mandir to be built on the disputed site i.e. the place where a Ram Mandir used to be before an invader demolished it and build a monument.

The recent statement of senior Congress leader is not simply a ‘slip of tongue’, the anti-Hindu rhetoric runs in the veins of the Congress party and its culture. The statements of its leader are the reflection of the anti-Hindu mentality of the Congress. Such statements just before the crucial election in 5 states which are being also considered as the semi-finale of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, will be erasing any prospects for Congress’ hope for a comeback.

3.) Mallikarjun Kharge

The senior Congress leader, Mallikarjun Kharge has time and again exposed the narrow mentality of the Congress party. According to him a “chaiwala” could become PM of the country because the party preserved democracy. He had said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been asking, at every function, about what the Congress has done for the country in the past 70 years. A chaiwala like him (Modi) could become prime minister because we preserved democracy.”

Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement shows the true character of the Congress party and its leaders. For them, democracy is for the Congress, by the Congress, of the Congress. Probably, they believe the people and the constitution played no role in preserving democracy. Indian democracy is running just because of the ‘benevolence’ and ‘grace’ of the Congress party.

He also believes that RSS played no role in freedom of the country despite the fact that evidences suggest contrary. Recently, at a rally in Maharashtra, he said, “We (Congress) gave our life for the country and made sacrifices. Indira Gandhi sacrificed her life for unity of the country. Rajiv Gandhi gave his life for the nation. Tell me, did even a dog die in a house of BJP, RSS (leaders) for the country’s freedom?”

He had made similar vituperative remark in the lower house of parliament. Kharge had said, “People such as Gandhi ji, Indira ji sacrificed their lives for the country’s unity, who was there from your side? Not even a dog.”

PM Modi later said during a speech in the Lok Sabha, said, “the Congress has never spoken of the contribution of freedom fighters such as Bhagat Singh and Chandra Shekhar Azad. They think only one family has given us freedom”.

In August, he had termed the RSS as poison.

Congress MP Mallikarjun Kharge had also made a seemingly innocuous remark on “You Aryans have come from outside”….which revealed deeper disturbing racist issues within Mallikarjun Kharge himself and the Left.

He has received lot of flak for his abusive, absurd and rude remarks but still he has not learnt any lesson.

4.) Kapil Sibbal

Kapil Sibbal is senior Congress leader as well as a prominent lawyer. Sibal played a crucial role in Triple Talaq case and in Ayodhya case because of his role the Congress was in catch 22 situation.

The Ayodhya dispute has been affecting the politics of the country for many decades and the Congress has only watered the Ayodhya dispute to harvest their political crops. When the BJP government came to power, it started working in the direction to resolve Ayodhya dispute as quickly as possible, but Kapil Sibal during the hearing of the case demanded from the court that the Ram Mandir matter should be heard after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He argued that the hearing could have an effect on the general election of 2019. On this, the central government’s counsel said that the government is in favor of daily hearing of the matter.

Crucial point here is that Congress is not a party in this Ram Mandir case and the Sunni Waqf Board, which really is a party wants the hearing soon. Hence, it became clear that when Sibal was arguing for the trial to be put off, he was talking on behalf of the Congress and not his client Sunni Waqf Board. Later on, Sunni Waqf board had asked Sibal to step down.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah had pointed out the double standard of the Congress party during the Gujarat elections. While on one hand, Rahul Gandhi was busy visiting temples, on the other hand, senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal was trying to stall the Ram Mandir case. Narendra Modi had said at that time, “What the Congress has done so far is ‘atkana, latkana and bhatkana’.” Congress’s hidden agenda and double-standards were put out in the open by the prime minister.

While defending Triple Talaq case in the SC, Kapil Sibal compared misogynist practice like Triple Talaq with belief in Bhagwan Ram. While arguing in the Supreme Court on behalf of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), Sibal said, “If I have faith that Lord Rama was born at Ayodhya, then it’s a matter of faith and there is no question of constitutional morality. And why should court interfere? Similar is the case with triple talaq.” It is a personal choice of Hindus to decide as to worship Bhagwan Ram or not. On the other hand, only Muslim men have the right to give instant talaq to their wives through e-mail, sms, whatsapp. Triple Talaq is not matter faith or a personal matter. Pronouncement of triple talaq severely affects the lives of Muslim women. With his absurd argument Kapil Sibal tried to validate the legitimacy of triple talaq in 21st century. By defending triple talaq, Sibal as well as the Congress earned ire of Muslim women and the party will definitely see the result of their anger in 2019 general elections.

5.) Rahul Gandhi

The last name in the list is of none other than the Congress President Rahul Gandhi. People sarcastically refer him as the trump card of the BJP. He is already working as the star-campaigner of the BJP. His repeated lies on Rafale deal are only benefitting the BJP in many ways. First, the Congress party is investing their time and energy at wrong place. Second, the BJP is one step ahead of Congress’ move. It is clearly evident with the speed at which the BJP refutes the lies of the Congress party on Rafale deal. People are not giving any audience to his ‘ichadhari Hindu’ tactics. His temple run during Gujarat and Karnataka elections suffered an abject failure. His recent remark on PM Modi, calling him ‘chor’, drew condemnation from almost all the section of people and party. The Congress party was on the back foot and found it hard to defend Rahul Gandhi’s abusive remark against the PM. In the past, he had accused PM Modi of doing Khoon Ki Dalali. Rahul Gandhi leading Congress is itself a boon for the BJP. It was under his leadership that the Congress suffered a humiliating defeat in 2014 general elections and Rahul is working very hard for the BJP to repeat the same episode again in 2019.

From here, the BJP should only raises the issues concerning common public of India and highlight its achievement. The rest of the task will be done by the Congress party and its abusive leaders. PM Modi knows very well how to exploit these issues and abuses in his favor. His silence signifies an arrival of big storm which will completely ransack the opposition parties and their stratagem.
