Indian Naval Ship Kulish arrived at Tuas Terminal in Singapore on October 6 for an Operational Turn Around (OTR), as part of the Indian Navy’s ongoing Eastern Fleet Operational Deployment.
The port call is part of the Indian Navy’s engagement with Singapore and reflects the strong ties between the two countries. The visit gives the two sides an opportunity for continued interaction and reinforces the importance both place on bilateral maritime engagement.
Engagements During the Visit
During the stay, the Commanding Officer of INS Kulish will call on the High Commissioner of India to Singapore. He will also lay a wreath at the Kranji War Memorial, a gesture that marks the historical association between India and Singapore.
A Shared Vision for the Seas
The visit is aligned with India’s commitment to collective maritime security and regional cooperation. It also contributes to the shared vision of a safe, secure and inclusive maritime environment in the region.
INS Kulish is a Khukri-class missile corvette of the Indian Navy, which operates under the Eastern Naval Command. Operational deployments such as this one allow Indian warships to operate far from home bases, build familiarity with partner navies and show the flag in key maritime regions.
