Rahul Gandhi’s love for Poverty Tourism:
Riding in the luxury of the white SUV, secretly enjoying the poor people chasing his car, Mr. Rahul Gandhi and the congress started the ‘Kisan Yatra’ in a bid with a hope to come to Power in the 2017 Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh.
While the itinerary demanded, he knock on the doors of the farmer’s seeking their support and for him to deal with their problems, created by the joint efforts of SP and BSP, Mr. Gandhi looked as confused and flabbergasted as always, and in his effort to cover-up continued with the usual rant nonchalantly against the PM and the Central Government, alleging a favoured treatment to the rich industrialists, leaving the poor and downtrodden to fend for themselves. What Rahul did not know is that while he was busy goofing up on all the opportunities provided to him by ‘Maate’- Sonia Jee, Power minister Mr. Goyal had quietly electrified over 7,000 villages in Uttar Pradesh
The 2,500 Km journey which aims to outreach to the most rural parts of Uttar Pradesh, seeks to uproot the Gunda Raj of the SP and bring in the dark ages of the Congress back again.
If 70 Years of rule (with and without coalition) was not enough to ruin the state, the Congress has begun its journey again to fool the people, seeking votes on the promise of fulfilling those promises which they made 60 years back (Reduction in Power tariff) .
None the less, coming back to Rahul Gandhi’s yatra, the Social media over the last week came across two pictures which gave oneself a stark reality of the ongoing crises of Uttar Pradesh, one was where Mr. Gandhi invited the media to click his photographs with two young kids wearing white pyjama kurta, and the second one where he was seen having snacks at a small outlet with young child labourers are seen working while the congress supremo is busy having his food.
So much for the hypocrisy, Mr. Gandhi during his visits has hardly spoken about educating the young generation or for creating a better infrastructure which could benefit the civilization at large. All that he ever speaks about is giving out subsidies, going to temples and mosques for his vote bank agenda, and give false hopes and promises to the people, if chosen to rule (rule and not govern). Uttar Pradesh being the crime capital or the fact that the incumbent government’s failure to curtailing Gunda raj had no relevance in Rahul’s speeches but Modi’s suit was.

There are pictures doing the round on the Internet where Rahul Gandhi is eating food in a Dalit household also has concerning realities to it. The family in Mao, UP who offered food to Rahul Gandhi had borrowed food material from others to prepare food and they are in debt now because Rahul Gandhi decided to publicize his dalit love to the fellow countrymen.
Rahul Gandhi’s pointless attack on Modi
During all the road shows and gatherings, Rahul spearheaded numerous attacks on the present day Central government (BJP) [which has nothing to do with UP], but hardly said anything about SP supremo Mulayam Singh or his son (also the incumbent Chief Minister of U.P) Akhilesh Yadav which is astonishingly surprising. The shallow and callous nature of issues raised by the congressman and the apprehension at speaking out against the corrupt and incapable Uttar Pradesh Government screams of collusion at the very least.
Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s focus and intent on attacking the BJP and the Prime Minister Modi in particular , speaks volumes of the BJP’s current strength and probable prospects of coming to power.
Another aspect of this kisan yatra which needs to be highlighted was the continuous rant of the congress.
Congress Politicians ranted about the marginally high crude oil prices, not wanting to state the obvious that the deregulation which took place in 2015 enabled the central government to channelize the funds into better public use, than to provide subsidy on fuel prices.
The Congress even after suffering a drubbing in 2014 Lok Sabha elections and almost all the elections post that, seem to ignore the obvious, continuing with its age old manifesto of divide and rule. The 1st part of the above stated quote, has been used by the congress to its advantage for the last 70 years, but with the fading warranty in this age of digitalism and the rising intolerance of the citizens against lackluster governance, such ignorance and arrogance is only leading them to the latter half of the quote, which is ultimately aiding the Modi Mantra of ‘Congress mukt Bharat’ and its final decimation.

All in all, going by present day sentiments, even with Prashant Kishore (the master opportunist) it seems like a distant dream for the Congress and Mr. Rahul Gandhi of setting up a stronghold in Uttar Pradesh in the coming assembly elections.
