Modi pointed to key government initiatives such as Startup India, Digital India, Skill India and the Atal Innovation Mission as foundational pillars of this ecosystem. He added that a significant share of these success stories is being written by India’s “Yuva Shakti”, particularly from smaller towns and villages. The Prime Minister also highlighted the growing presence of young Indians across multiple sectors, including science and technology, manufacturing, space, semiconductors and drones. He said their contributions are shaping areas that will define both India’s future and its global role.

Modi further emphasised the role of youth in sports, noting that young Indian athletes have consistently brought international recognition and pride to the country. He said this performance is supported by a strengthening sporting ecosystem, improved infrastructure and greater institutional backing, which together are creating new opportunities for emerging talent.
According to him, this growing support structure is encouraging more young people to pursue sports professionally, adding another dimension to the broader narrative of youth empowerment.

His remarks came as the National Democratic Alliance met in New Delhi to mark his completion of 4,399 days in office, making him the longest-serving democratically elected Prime Minister in consecutive terms. NDA leaders used the occasion to highlight governance reforms, development initiatives and welfare programmes implemented over the past 12 years.
