Even by Islamabad’s long history of absurd political theatre and self-delusion, recent remarks from Pakistani lawmakers have stooped to a new low. In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 28 innocent Indians, instead of introspection or de-escalation, Pakistani lawmakers have opted for war-mongering and fantasy narratives. The most outrageous statement came from Senator Palwasha Mohammad Zai Khan, who proclaimed that the first brick of a “new Babri mosque” in Ayodhya would be laid by Pakistani soldiers and that Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, would deliver the first azaan. It’s hard to say what’s more laughable the hubris of her claim or the sheer ignorance of history it reveals.
Pakistan is all about Terrorism, Hate, Islamist Extremism.
This is Pakistani Senator Palwasha Mohammad Zai Khan. 👇

First, let’s be clear: the Babri structure was not a symbol of Islamic glory, but one of conquest and destruction. Historical and archaeological evidence confirms that it was built in 1528 by Mughal commander Mir Baqi after demolishing a grand temple that marked the birthplace of Lord Ram, the revered deity of millions of Hindus. The site, known as Ram Janmbhoomi, has been revered for centuries, and was a center of Hindu pilgrimage and prayer long before the arrival of Babur’s armies.
The 2019 Supreme Court verdict, after decades of detailed hearings, extensive evidence review, and forensic archaeology, affirmed this truth. It was not religious sentiment, but solid historical and legal grounding that led to the rightful handover of the land to Hindu claimants. Construction of the Ram Mandir, which is nearing completion, is not a political project — it is the restoration of a sacred heritage site wrongfully destroyed during foreign invasions. Pakistan, which has never respected minority rights on its own soil with shrinking Hindu, Christian, Ahmadi, and Sikh populations has no moral authority to sermonize India on secularism or religious coexistence. In fact, Islamabad’s obsession with Babri Masjid is not about justice or faith; it’s about using religious provocation as a foreign policy tool. Instead of condemning the Pahalgam terror attack carried out by Pakistan-based terror groups, Islamabad is once again trying to distract global attention by inflaming religious passions.
