Congress has lost the right to question Adani

Congress against Adani: After the release of Hindenburg report, the congress party started asking questions from the current central government. Congress tried to capitalise the event for their political gains. The seriousness of the matter can be understood by the fact that chaos took over the Parliament sessions regarding the issue. Asking questions on the matter related to public is never a bad sign in democracy, but using them for vested interest raises grave concerns. This happens to be the case with the Congress party.

Sukkhu brokers deal for Adani Group

According to the reports, after a 67-day standoff between two Adani Group-owned cement plants and truck unions in Himachal Pradesh, a resolution has been reached regarding new freight rates. The two plants in Barmana and Darlaghat have been closed since December 15 due to a dispute over transportation rates, with the transporters protesting against Adani Cement’s lowered rate of Rs 6 per tonne per km. The rate was significantly lower than the market rate of Rs 10.58 PTPK in Dalarghat and Rs 11.41 PTPK in Barmana.

On Monday, a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu resulted in an agreement on new rates. Both the cement companies and truck operators settled on Rs 10.3 PTPK for single-axle trucks and Rs 9.3 PTPK for multi-axle vehicles. Operations are set to resume on Tuesday. This resolution will bring relief to both the cement plants and the truck operators and help to mitigate the losses incurred during the extended closure of the plants.

CM Sukhu said, “We have arrived at a consensus, thereby protecting the interests of both the truck-operator unions and the management, besides the welfare of all others who were being directly or indirectly hit by the stalemate.”

What Adani said was right

Before the Hindenburg report, Adani gave an interview where he clearly said that although he had good relations with PM Modi, he is not affiliated to any party. He said that his company is also having operations in the states that are ruled by Congress.

Now this development completely justifies what he said because each state promotes industry for the betterment of its citizens. But the way Congress exploited the Adani Group matter to malign the Prime Minister for the political gains shows that Congress can go to any extent for seeking power. And if we go by view of Congress, Sukkhu is also corrupt as he dealt with Adani Group.
