Yadagirigutta Temple Timings and Overview
Yadagirigutta Temple is one of the most popular and most visited Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Lord Narasimha here is known as ‘Vaidya Narasimha’ or the physician. According to belief, God cures any chronic disease after visiting this temple.
Spread over an area of 4 acres, the entire temple complex is made of stone. Along with its religious importance, the location of the temple on top of the hill provides refreshment with its beautiful views.
History of this Temple
Lord Narasimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu appears in five different forms at Yadgiri. He is worshiped as Sri Jwalanarasimha, Sri Yogananda, Sri Gandabharunda, Sri Ugra and Sri Lakshminarasimha. Mesmerized by the Lord’s presence, Yadari requested the Lord to be with her. Then the Lord appeared in five forms in the walls of the caves.
According to another belief, after Yadari attained salvation, the tribals came to know about the presence of the Lord and started worshiping them. He had unknowingly started indulging in improper worship. Because of that the Lord had decided to go to the hills.
The tribals searched for God for many years but to no avail. One night Lord Narasimha appeared to the clan in the dream of a devotee and instructed them to come to a cave. When the devotee did this, the Lord blessed him by appearing in five different forms. Which is now the Yadgiri Gutta temple.

Best time to visit this Temple
The best season to visit Yadagirigutta is from October to March. Because at this time you get relief from the heat, so that you can enjoy your journey more. In that season, you can enjoy seeing Yadagirigutta very well.

This temple opens at 4am in the morning and closes at 9:45pm in the night.
Place to visit near Yadagirigutta Temple
Sri Patha Lakshmi Narasimha Swami Temple – This temple is located at a very nearby place called Pathgutta and is 2 km away from the main temple. The deities here are also in the form of stones.
Surendrapuri – This famous mythological awareness centre is about 5 km from Yadagirigutta Temple. This museum was established to raise awareness about Indian mythology. It was founded by Kunda Satyanarayan in memory of his son Surendra. It is also locally known as Kunda Satyanarayan Kala Dham.

Bhongir Fort – This ancient fort is located in Nalgonda district of Bhuvangiri, India. It is 9.8 km from Yadagirigutta Temple. Bhongir is situated on a unique egg-shaped rock hill more than the height of 500 feet.
Jain Temple – This temple is situated at the distance of 22 km from Yadagirigutta. This temple is famous for Jain devotees. Jain devotees from all over India come here to visit Shree Svetambara Jain Tirth.

How to reach Yadagirigutta Temple
By Air – The nearest airport from this temple is Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Other nearby domestic airports are Begumpet Airport and Nadargul Airport. From here you can easily reach this temple by using local transport.
By Train – The nearest railway station is Raigir which is at a distance of about 5 km and Wangapalli which is located at a distance of 7 km from this temple. You can easily reach this temple by taking an auto-rickshaw or a tanga from here to reach this temple.
By Road – APSRTC and TSRTC run a lot of buses from Hyderabad Yadagiri. You will find buses approximately every 30 minutes. It takes around 1.5 hours to reach Yadagiri. From here you can easily reach this temple by using local transport.
