Kuber Bhandari Temple, Vadodara 

Kuber Bhandari Temple is situated in Karnali village near the famous town of Chanod. Chanod is located near Dabhoi in Vadodara district of Gujarat state in India. It is about 36 miles away from Vadodara city.

Kuber Bhandari Temple is one of the most famous pilgrimage places here on the banks of river Narmada. Devotees from all over the country and abroad come to visit here on Dhanteras and Diwali. It is said that this temple was built about 25 hundred years ago. Regarding the construction of this temple located on the banks of river Narmada, it is said that this Dhanvantari temple was built by Lord Shiva.

History of this Temple

To reach the height of the temple, the devotees have to climb 38 steps in all, which is made easier by their immense devotion towards Lord Kuber. Lord Kuber has always been worshiped as the god of fame and wealth and this particular temple is said to be around 90 years old.

Laxmi Vilas Palace

A majestic structure that served as the private residence of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III, the palace is said to be four times the size of Britain’s Buckingham Palace. Filled with exquisite architectural specimens, it is a fusion of Hindu and Islamic styles of design. An interesting point about the Pavagadh hill is that it is said to have been taken to Lanka by Hanuman according to the Ramayana.

Sursagar Lake
