Kejriwal-led AAP’s ‘Kagaj dikhao’ demand to Divya Kakran backfires

The Aam Aadmi Party rose to the political landscape by launching a barrage of accusations and personal attacks on several politicians. It gained traction from the public courtesy to its shoot and scoot policy. A policy in which individuals like Mr Kejriwal run away after making baseless claims or accusations without any accountability or evidence to back it up.

This disgusting political strategy has always backfired on AAP whenever an individual with moral conviction stands against its bully tactics. It starts lamenting for making unfounded allegations and apologises profusely. Yet its shamelessness continues. Unfortunately, it seems that the party has now deployed its ‘minions’ to demean and hound a champion athlete for exposing its hypocrisy. However, this time they have messed with the wrong person.

Buffoonery

It seems that AAP leaders are on a mission of self-inflicted pain and humiliation for the party. Its leaders and supporters are making failed attempts to prove wrestler Divya Kakran wrong. Evidently, AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj made a tweet in response to Divya Kakran’s explosive claims against the Delhi government. He desperately tried to prove that the champion wrestler Divya Kakran plays from Uttar Pradesh and has not represented Delhi.

In the tweet, he wrote, “Sister, the whole country is proud of you. But I don’t remember that you play for Delhi. You have always been playing for Uttar Pradesh. But the player is from the country. You do not expect respect from Yogi Adityanath ji. I think the Chief Minister of Delhi will definitely listen to you.”

https://t.co/WgxwpWJHR1

Further, he tried to find some media articles to back his unfounded claims. Sharing a news article, he added, “Maybe I am wrong sister, but when I searched, I found that you have always been playing for Uttar Pradesh, not from Delhi state. Today the whole country is proud of you. I pray to God that you go ahead.”

pic.twitter.com/PZXFPXjRFB

However, AAP MLA’s desperate attempt was foiled by Divya Kakran herself. She tweeted categorically, stating that she had represented Delhi from 2011-2017 along with a certificate to authenticate it. She added that she was more than ready to share certificates of her 17 Gold medals she had won for Delhi, IF he had no trust in her words.

2011 se 2017 tak me delhi se khelti thi ye raha certificate delhi sate ka !
Ager apko abhi bhi yakin nahi to delhi sate se 17 Gold h mere vo certificate bhi upload karu https://t.co/0PXYp7NWR0 pic.twitter.com/H7dwTWsSx7

As reported by TFI, it all started when Delhi CM Kejriwal made a tweet congratulating the champion wrestler. Following which, Divya Kakran thanked him. Along with that she exposed the hypocrisy of the Delhi government. She reminded Mr Kejriwal that she had not received her due recognition and support from the Delhi government.

This failed escalation by the AAP leaders is unfortunate. It is disheartening to see that an International athlete who has made India proud at the world stage has to prove herself right to get her due credits and have to bear mental harassment from such minions trying to belittle her achievements, prove her to be a liar and whatnot.

https://t.co/EqbOK1KSDw pic.twitter.com/xlVrbLE0ww

There is a saying that ‘Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.’ This aptly fits the AAP leaders who are trying to save Delhi government from public humiliation but are only ending up making a mockery out of themselves and their government. In an attempt to prove themselves too clever by half, they are only ending up proving themselves a buffoon.

They should shun their urge to please their bosses and stop harassing athletes. All the athletes representing India should get their due credit. They deserve respect not public hounding and trolling.
