Amit Shah’s bold statement about India’s real history

Amit Shah’s bold statement about India’s real history

Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it. So, it is important that the youngsters learn the real history of our Civilisation. History that is written without any malice or political biases and only based on true events. But unfortunately after Independence, History was white washed and altered by Islamo-leftist ‘distorians’ to suit their nefarious agendas. That is why, there has been a perennial demand for decolonization of Indian Culture and History. Gladly, with tall leaders like Amit Shah adding their voice in support of it, it has gained new fervour.

Amit Shah emboldens the voice to truthify History

Union Home Minister Amit Shah released a book on the legendary warrior kings of Mewar.  The book named “Maharana: Sahastra Varsha Ka Dharma Yuddha” is written by Omendra Ratnu, an ENT surgeon from Jaipur. At the event HM Shah echoed the sentiments of every Indian Citizen. He accepted the fact that History has been distorted and many great warriors, dynasties have been sidelined. Interestingly, he went on to say that nobody can stop us from writing the truth.

#WATCH Delhi: Those who wrote history only discussed Mughal empires. Kingdoms like that of Pandyas, Ahoms, Pallavas, Mauryas & Guptas ruled for over 500 yrs & fought valorously but reference texts were not written on them: Union Home Min Amit Shah at a book launch, earlier today pic.twitter.com/fW0WFORfrD

He said, “It’s a fact that some have distorted history. They have written whatever they had to. No one can stop us from writing the truth. We are now independent. We can write our own history. History is not created by governments but built on true events. When independent historians write history, only truth comes up and that is why our people should write books with facts and without making any comments.”

The senior BJP leader showed his anguish regarding the fact that historians had concentrated only on Mughals. He went on to praise several Indic dynasties that were willingly forgotten by these ‘distorians’.

The great dynasties of India

Shah remarked, “I want to tell something to the historians. We have many empires but historians have concentrated only on the Mughals and wrote mostly about them. The Pandya empire ruled for 800 years. The Ahom empire ruled Assam for 650 years. They (Ahoms) had even defeated Bakhtiyar Khilji, Aurangzeb and kept Assam sovereign.”

He further added,“The Pallava empire ruled for 600 years. The Cholas ruled for 600 years. The Mauryas ruled the whole country — from Afghanistan to Lanka for 550 years. The Satvahanas ruled for 500 years. The Guptas ruled for 400 years and (Gupta emperor) Samudragupta had for the first time visioned a united India and established an empire with the whole country.”

Additionally, he noted the fact that there are no elaborate books depicting the true history of these legendary dynasties. He asked historians to shed this disappointment and write history in a way that is “bigger and more intense than those that spread lies” so that they “can be effective.”

He said, “There are no reference books, either. I want to say, one should give up making comments on it but write on them to bring out the real history before people. This will gradually make the history, which we consider as false, disappear on its own.”

Remembering sacrifices of great Icons of India

He emphasised on the fact that the importance of revolutions and history should be judged on the impact it made on people. He said,“Had Veer Savarkar not been there, I can tell you, the truth about 1857 would not have come out… revolutions, which might have been defeated at that time, have the potential to awaken the society and the people. Padmavati’s sacrifice had given energy to women and men to live their lives, keeping their heads high… Documenting history is important because the outcome of events or revolts is immaterial…it should be weighed on the impact it has on people.”

Further he added, “The invaders finished the language, culture and traditions of the regions they attacked, but they had to stop here in India… I can say with pride that whoever had fought for India and sacrificed for India would be resting in peace now because we are making them proud after so many years.”

What are the reasons for falsehoods in the name of Indian History?

The Colonising Britishers made a hell out of Indians, so expecting positive from them would have been fool-hardy. But after Independence academics were dominated by Islamo-leftist distorians, they presented wrong history to full-fill their motives. Motives to present some individuals larger than life at the cost of true patriots of India. They branded nationalists as extremists or terrorist. Also, academically speaking they had a Delhi centric narrow view and ignored the history of coastal regions and North-East.

The time has come to change the falsehoods and canards spread about many freedom fighters and stop glorifying dacoits and barbarians. The mughals tyrants were communal bigots and should be reduced to a bare minimum. Chapters should be added after legendary warriors like Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Rani Laxmi Bai and Maharana Pratap among others. Parents too should teach their kids true stories about these gems of History so that the youth of India have traits similar to these noble souls.
