Yumna Zaidi is a Pakistani actress who has appeared on television. She had no intention of pursuing a career in acting, but on the advice of her friend Affan Waheed, she dabbled in it by playing a supporting role in the ARY Digital home drama Thakan in 2012, and then a main role in the melodrama Khushi Ek Roag in 2013. She later starred alongside Samiya Mumtaz and Sami Khan in Urdu 1’s Teri Raah Main Rul Gai, in which she played Maryam.
Yumna Zaidi got recognition for her performances in the dramas Meri Dulari (2013) on Geo TV and Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi (2013) on Hum TV, the latter of which earned her a Hum Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
After many shows and praises she made her acting debut in Momina Duraid’s Zara Yaad Kar in 2016, playing Uzma Ikhtiar alongside Zahid Ahmed and Sana Javed.
In 2017, Yumna Zaidi starred alongside Ahmed Ali in Hum TV’s Yeh Raha Dil. Hayat is a character played by Zaidi, whose mother died when she was young and her father abandoned her. Her father, Zameendar Zaidi, was a businessman who passed away in June of this year, and her mother, Shabana Naheed Zaidi, is a housewife. She hails from Arif Wala, a hamlet near Pakpattan, Punjab.

She holds a master’s degree in interior design and has worked as a radio jockey and host.
