‘Raliv Galiv ya Chaliv’ is still a reality in Kashmiri Masjids

‘Raliv Galiv ya Chaliv’ is still a reality in Kashmiri Masjids
Share on FacebookShare on X
  • 13 people have been arrested by Police for raising anti-India slogan in Jama Masjid of Srinagar
  • Apparently, the incident is not a one-off as terrorists have launched a round of attacks killing various people in the last few months
  • It seems as if the terrorists are trying to revive their dead cause and the Modi government should stay on alert

Raliv Galiv ya Chaliv – Convert, Die or Run was the slogan that could be heard in the 90s from Kashmiri Masjids. It was an order to Kashmiri Pandits that if they wanted to save their lives, they had to compulsorily join the Islamists. 30 years down the line, things have not changed.

13 arrested for raising anti-India slogans in Kashmir

On Friday, 8th April 2022, Jama Masjid of Srinagar, one of the largest Masjids in the area, became a hosting ground for anti-national elements. People gathered there for the first Jumma of Ramjan were openly chanting anti-India and pro-Islamic terror slogans. While shouting praises for Zakir Musa, one of the most dreaded terrorists of the region, people were demanding ‘Azadi’ from India. Al-Qaeda man Musa was killed by Indian forces in May 2019.

The sloganeering remarks on the possible revival of terrorism in the region. It was later confirmed when Islamists attending Jumma pelted stones at the same Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force personnel who were standing there to protect them. Forces later controlled the crowd. After the abrogation of Article 370, It is possibly the first time that stones were thrown at Indian Forces.

Meanwhile, Jammu Kashmir Police has arrested 13 persons for raising anti-India slogans. Persons named Basharat Nabi Bhat and Umar Manzoor Sheikh have been identified as the chief instigators of the anti-national sloganeering.

J&K Police in Srinagar arrests 13 people in connection with anti-national and pro-Islamist terror sloganeering inside Jamia Masjid yesterday. This group of criminal hooligans also clashed with Intezamia Committee of the Mosque who stopped them from such sloganeering and ruckus. pic.twitter.com/rmXqWsSnPD

The main two instigators who have been arrested are Basharat Nabi Bhat and Umar Manzoor Sheikh. Many more arrested likely soon based on interrogation. They had received instructions from Pakistani handlers to disrupt Friday prayers. PSA being slapped on all. More action soon.

Sloganeering is a part of a pattern

If we connect the dots, these anti-India slogans do not seem to be a one-off incident. It looks like a part of a broader trend, the trend of terrorists trying to revive their anti-India warfare. The Jama Masjid incident is just a cherry on top (for Islamists) for their recent activities. Several people, including Kashmiri Pandits, Armed Forces personnel, and Migrant labourers have been subject to terrorist acts in the last few days.

Series of terrorist attacks in the region

On Mar 19, 2022, two CRPF camps belonging to 179 Battalion and 180 Battalion were respectively attacked with grenades in Shopian and Awantipora districts. Three CRPF men were injured in the attacks.

On the same day, militants attacked a carpenter named Mohammad Akram in the Pulwama district. They fired shots at him which resulted in an injury. He was taken to SMHS Hospital Srinagar in a Critical Care ambulance.

On April 3, another round of attacks shook the valley. Two people named Surindra Singh and Dheeraj Dutt originally belonging to the Pathankot district of Punjab were subjected to gunshots by the terrorists. The incident happened in the Nowpora litter area of the Pulwama district.

A day later, terrorists again launched a slew of attacks. The terrorists succeeded in killing a CRPF jawan and injuring others in the Maisuma area of Srinagar. On the very same day, the terrorists fired shots at a Kashmiri Pandit named Bal Krishan in the Shopian district of South Kashmir. Krishan received four bullets and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

On the very same day, terrorists also fired shots at two Biharis living in Kashmir. The attack took place in Lajoora village of Pulwama district.  Patlashwar Kumar and Jakku Choudhary, two injured labourers were taken to hospital where doctors termed their condition as stable, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar condemned the attack.

On March 7, terrorists again shot and injured a Punjab based driver named Sonu Sharma. The incident took place in Yader village of Pulwama.

For those in denial,
Kashmir this week!

-KP Bal Krishna Bhat shot at by terrorists in Shopian.

-A CRPF jawan shot dead, another injured in Srinagar.

-Patlashwar Kumar and Jakku Choudhary injured in Pulwama.

-Sonu Sharma, Surinder Singh and Dheeraj Dutta shot at in Pulwama.

— Deeksha Negi (@NegiDeekshaa) April 9, 2022

The aforementioned incidents are just the tip of the iceberg. In the last one month, terrorists have killed 2 Sarpanches, one Panchayat member, and 3 security personnel.

Terrorists are trying to revive ant-India and anti-Hindu militancy

Looking at what happened in Jama Masjid in Srinagar, it won’t be a far-fetched argument to speculate that terrorists were preparing for a D-day on the event of Ramazan. There does not seem to be another explanation for the series of attacks. It is also true that they must be angered after ‘The Kashmiri Files’ fully exposed what they did in the 1990s. They must be trying to reignite the dead spirit by brainwashing Kashmiris into believing that India wants to take revenge on every Muslim in the region. Nothing else explains the support of the crowd in chanting anti-India slogans.

It is on the investigative agencies to find out the connecting link between these attacks. However, it should also be noted that the fire inside Islamists of Kashmir will never die. These Islamists deserve absolute annihilation. The Indian government needs to identify innocent Kashmiris and launch a crackdown on the rest others.

As long as ordinary Muslims don’t raise their voice condemning these radical elements among them, they will forfeit every right to play victims which they are trying after the success of Kashmir Files film.
