Samajwadi Party (SP) recently suffered a humiliating defeat in UP assembly elections. Its candidates could only bring in 27 percent of total seats for it. Amidst the entire chaos, videos of chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” in constituencies won by SP narrate a totally different story.
Pakistan Zindabad after victory of Muslim candidate
A Twitter handle called @OfficialTeamPs has uploaded some mentally excruciating and annoying videos of Dumariyaganj constituency of Siddharthnagar district in UP.
In one of the videos released by the aforementioned Twitter handle, many people are shown celebrating the victory of SP candidate Saiyada Khatoon’s in recent elections. However, the manner in which they are seen celebrating can be termed as anything but civil to say the least.

The crowd is seen chanting victory for Pakistan and Islam. Slogans like Pakistan Zindabad and Islam Zindabad are being raised with rigorous intensity. Effectively, they are suggesting that victory of SP candidate is victory for Pakistan and Islam. The Twitter handle has tagged some officials and requested them to take strict actions.

Misbehavior with women and abusing lost candidate
In another video uploaded by the same handle, people in the Dumariyaganj are seen complaining about misbehavior by SP supporters in the wake of Khatoon’s victory celebrations. Women alleged that they were harassed by SP’s supporters and were threatened of witnessing cow slaughter.

Another video has been uploaded by other Twitter handle in which people are seen abusing CM Yogi Adityanath and BJP candidate Raghvendra Singh.

FIRs registered
Meanwhile, after the videos went viral, the local police came into action. It has booked the Samajwadi Party MLA for spreading religious hatred and breaking the guidelines under Section 144 of CrPC. FIRs have been registered under sections 153 (A), 188 and 505 (2) of IPC.
“A case has been registered against 250 unidentified people including SP MLA Saiyada Khatoon from Dumariyaganj. Yesterday, a video of people raising the slogan of `Pakistan Zindabad Islam Zindabad` in front of the office went viral. Police took cognizance of the viral video. A case was registered at Dumariyaganj police station,” informed Circle Officer Ajay Kumar Srivastava.
What if Samajwadi Party comes to power?
Apparently, Saiyada Khatoon and Raghvendra Singh were neck in neck with each other until the final round of counting in the aforementioned constituency . The political and religious polarization in the area can be gauged from the fact that Raghvendra lost the seat by a bare margin of 771 votes.
SP has been already under radar for its pro-Muslim tilt. In spite of being accused of aligning with anti-nationals, the party has always been kowtowing to minority appeasement politics. This led to them losing their vote bank in renewed Hindu society which does not let their vote divide on basis of caste.

The above mentioned videos are expected to bring further decline in already constrained vote bank of Samajwadi Party. The people who still have trust in Yadav clan will refrain from voting for them in next election. If the product of losing a state is “Pakistan Zindabad”, one can guess the mayhem after their victory.
These videos should be kept handy and should be shown during every election.
