All India Bakch*d: Where are they now?

AIB, All India All India Bakchod, All India Bakch*d, Youtube, podcast, Tanmay Bhat
Share on FacebookShare on X

All India Bakchod – started as a podcast in 2012 by Tanmay Bhat and Gursimran Khamba went on to become India’s most popular and mighty comedy collective. Its rise was aided by social media and YouTube. As a digital wave swept India and the country broke into the world of the internet, AIB became a source of comic relief for millions. It shaped the views of many. The name itself – All India Bakchod, was meant to be an affront to state-run broadcaster All India Radio. But then came 2018. #MeToo allegations swept India, and caught in the eye of the storm were Tanmay Bhat, Gursimran Khamba and an AIB associate – Utsav Chakraborty.

Today, AIB, for all practical reasons, is dead. It no longer exists. Its YouTube channel has been sitting idle, while the infamous quadrat of Tanmay Bhat, Gursimran Khamba, Rohan Joshi and Ashish Shakya have moved on with their lives. From being comedy sensations, these four personalities have been reduced to nothing. So, what are the AIB co-founders up to these days? Let’s try and find out.

Tanmay Bhat

Bhat has become a YouTuber. He now records vlogs and posts them on the video streaming platform. Every so often, he invites some random people to talk to, and posts videos of these conversations on YouTube. Tanmay Bhat is clocking a decent number of views – considering the fact that he is working alone now.

It’s painful. Watching Tanmay Bhat’s uploads on YouTube is not an easy task. He invites uninteresting, boring and mediocre people and talks to them about issues which frankly, nobody gives a damn about. Tanmay Bhat gets bullied by one Aishwarya on his show these days. That’s how sustenance for Tanmay is working out towards the end of 2021.

https://youtu.be/zZFgzoCjWyk

Tanmay Bhat was sacked from AIB after it came to light that he sat on sexual harassment complaints and took no official action against the accused, Utsav Chakraborty. Shortly after, Gursimran Khamba was axed too.

Rohan Joshi

Rohan Joshi is working pretty much on the lines of Tanmay Bhat. He is also a YouTuber, streamer, vlogger and talk show host. In April this year, Rohan Joshi suffered what can be termed a seizure of unemployment. He broke down, and abused right-wing trolls, sanghis and Hindus at large.

Taking to Instagram, where Joshi is a phoney little star among braindead millennial liberals, the comedian decided to speak his mind and some of the usual ‘truth to power’ which clowns like him are so famous for among social circles with equivalent levels of mental degeneracy.

“To all the bhakts who have lost their loved ones during this crisis, be strong. Your dad and Akshay Kumar are building you a lovely temple where you can go and pray for their departed souls.” In a follow-up post, the eternally puberty-struck man explained his rather sick views of bhakts, and said that him celebrating their and their family members’ death was justified. “People calling the last story rude, I think you underestimate the degree of my fury and contempt. Fuck bhakts. They are directly responsible for this. Directly. I can literally still see plenty of them still defending him (Narendra Modi). I have nothing but contempt for them and not a shred of empathy.” He ended his enthusiastic monologue with, “Fuck the high road.”

Rohan Joshi has truly unravelled into his worst possible self.

Gursimran Khamba and Ashish Shakya

One could not really figure out what these two are up to. They have not made news in a long, long time. They do not seem to have operational YouTube channels either. Professionally, both Khamba and Shakya do not seem to be doing much. Gursimran Khamba does have a YouTube channel, but the last video uploaded on it was one year ago. So that’s that.

The story of AIB has long been over. Now, even on an individual level, the top AIB executives are becoming irrelevant.

Actually many videos of AIB were much ahead of its time .Today we have soft porn running under the disguise of web series and content creation AIB only used to crack some double meaning jokes and jokes with a lot of sarcasm and for Tanmay Bhatt he has huge fan following and write the ads for cred which have become very popular The biggest problem with Indians and the right wing is that we watch all Hollywood shows movies which has nude scenes objectification of women and call them as oscar winning but we have problem if our own people crack some non veg jokes

Wow you really do hate them. Also what joy does it give you to bring people down, Tanmay is making myc more money and moreover many people happy , but then maybe your sense of humour sucks or maybe not and you are just in denial that people having different ideologies from yours should also be treated as normal. As far as Rohan is concerned everyone is allowed to have a political opinion cause last time I checked were still largest democracy.

AIB was way ahead of its time. these snowflakes don’t know humour and get offended unnecessarily. AIB probably doesn’t even know that you people exist and wouldn’t give a flying f*ck. try harder
