Indian photojournalist Danish Sidiqqui, who was known to have been ‘killed’ by the Taliban on July 16, triggering a volley of sentiments back in India, was, in fact, executed and mutilated by the terror organisation for being an Indian. TFI had already reported how the Reuters photojournalist was not just killed by the Taliban but his body was also mutilated and disfigured by the terrorists after they came to know about his nationality. After the mutilation and execution of the Indian photojournalist, the Taliban has apologised, which is why the left-liberal cabal in India forgave the terror organisation for its barbarity.
Now, according to a Washington Examiner report, the Taliban did not commit a mistake while executing Siddiqui. In fact, they planned an entire operation to take him down for being an Indian.
According to the explosive report, Siddiqui travelled with an Afghan National Army team to the Spin Boldak region to cover fighting between Afghan forces and the Taliban to control the lucrative border crossing with Pakistan. When they got to within one-third of a mile of the customs post, a Taliban attack split the team, with the commander and a few men separated from Siddiqui, who remained with three other Afghan troops.
Danish was then struck by shrapnel during the assault, after which he and his companions went to a local mosque to seek shelter from the blood-baying Talibanis. Soon, however, word spread that a journalist was in the mosque. Thereafter, the terror organisation mounted an attack against the mosque itself due to the presence of an Indian journalist there.

The Washington Examiner report read, “Siddiqui was alive when the Taliban captured him. The Taliban verified Siddiqui’s identity and then executed him, as well as those with him. The commander and the remainder of his team died as they tried to rescue him.” Micheal Rubin, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute wrote, “While a widely circulated public photograph shows Siddiqui’s face recognizable, I reviewed other photographs and a video of Siddiqui’s body provided to me by a source in the Indian government that show the Taliban beat Siddiqui around the head and then riddled his body with bullets.”
Earlier, an Afghan commander – Bilal Ahmed had told India Today that Taliban terrorists disrespected and mutilated the body of Danish Siddiqui because he was an Indian. “Taliban hate Indians,” the Afghan commander added before alleging that when the terrorists learnt about his identity and Indian citizenship, they then ran over a vehicle over his head.
The Taliban is an anti-India force. India is steadfast in its support for the civilian government of Afghanistan. New Delhi has also invested billions of dollars in Afghanistan, with the aim of giving ordinary Afghans a life other than that of strife, violence and chaos. Therefore, upon seeing an Indian journalist, the Taliban went berserk and brutally killed Danish Siddiqui.
