The violence carried out by the fake farmers at the Red Fort on the occasion of Republic Day invited international disrepute to India as such an important day in the history of independent India was marred by the ‘Andolanjeevis‘. Now, clear evidence has emerged that the Red Fort violence was aided and abetted by the Khalistanis as the Delhi Police prepares to file a chargesheet.
The Delhi Police in its 3,244 page chargesheet over the Republic Day violence stated that protesters armed with swords, rods, pharsi (saintie), wooden legs of a cot and spears stormed the historical Red Fort in Delhi as part of a “well-planned conspiracy” to “cause mayhem”.
The Delhi Police is also suspecting the involvement of pro-Khalistan terror groups which are based outside India. The chargesheet mentions a telephone call which one of the accused, Iqbal Singh, 45, received when he was at the Red Fort complex. The call is said to have originated from Canada, according to the Delhi Police.
Iqbal, who is a resident of Ludhiana, was nabbed on February 10 and has been mentioned in the chargesheet as one of the people who instigated the mob at the Red Fort. The chargesheet also mentions a video where Iqbal can be seen instigating the mob to attack security guards and police personnel.
The Delhi Police quoted Iqbal as saying, “Hamare pass dande bhi hai… dande tayyar rakh lo.”
The Delhi Police also stated that Iqbal, in his confession, said he was promised a cash reward by the Sikhs For Justice group if he was successful in hoisting the Nishan Sahib flag at the Red Fort.
It is pertinent to note that earlier, SFJ, a banned Khalistani terror outfit had offered a reward of $2,50,000 for raising the Khalistani flag at the India Gate, as well as, the Red Fort, on Republic Day.
Sikhs for Justice had released a letter, along with a video of its founder Gurpatwant Singh Pannu where the cash-reward was espoused to incite the protestors looking to make some quick money.
“26 January is coming and on the Red Fort, there is an Indian tricolour. Remove the tricolour on 26th of January and replace it with the Khalistan flag,” said Pannu in the video.
The Delhi Police, in its chargesheet, said, “During police custody remand accused (Iqbal) has also disclosed that during his stay/visit to Canada in 2009, the accused worked at a gurdwara in Toronto, which is known/popular for its support to Khalistani movement in Punjab. Even on the date of incident i.e., 26th January 2021, while he was present at Red Fort, he received a call from Canada. ….Furthermore there is one audio conversation on record, where in the daughter of the accused Iqbal Singh is conversing with one of his relative mentioning that they will be getting an amount of ₹50 lakh.”
Clear-cut evidence is emerging as to how the Khalistani terror outfits had a major role to play in aiding and abetting the Republic Day violence. The so-called farmers, their protests and their crorepati leader Rakesh Tikait stand exposed.
