In a ghastly incident that has shaken Delhi, a 25-year-old man named Rinku Sharma was initially assaulted and later stabbed to death by a Muslim mob that had barged into his house in outer Delhi’s Mangolpuri. The family of Rinku Sharma is calling this a hate crime as they allege Sharma was being harassed by the mob for being a vocal supporter of the BJP and PM Modi, whereas Delhi Police claim that this was a case of business rivalry.
The victim’s kin also allege that the harassment began after the family organised an event to collect funds for the construction of Ram Mandir which finally culminated into this ghastly incident that led to the death of Rinku Sharma. Unsurprisingly, the mainstream media is working overtime to whitewash the lynching as the victim Rinku Sharma, belonged to the majority religion and hence his brutal death won’t fit their propaganda.
On Wednesday night, according to the victim’s brother, a deadly mob armed with knives and sticks barged their way into the house of Rinku Sharma who worked as a lab technician at a hospital in Pashchim Vihar. The mob surrounded the family and started demanding the whereabouts of Rinku Sharma.

The mob then dragged the victim out of the house, where they brutally bashed him before stabbing a knife in his back which eventually led to his death. It is also being reported that other members of Rinku’s family also sustained injuries.
In a video that is doing rounds on social media, the assailants can be seen attempting to drag a cylinder into Sharma’s house perhaps to set it on fire which led to Rinku coming out to confront the mob which, unfortunately, led to his death.
The family alleges that the assailants intercepted them while they were on their way to the hospital with Rinku and even reached the hospital.
Rinku’s father is claiming that the family had been in the radar of the mob since the past six months and often used to harass Rinku calling him a BJP supporter and also used to abuse Prime Minister Modi.
The victim’s brother in a video, can be seen alleging that the group of assailants was miffed with the fact that the family organised an event to collect funds for the construction of the Ram Mandir.
While reportedly Delhi Police has arrested four persons, identified as Mohammed Islam, Danish, Zahid and Mehtab, the family claims that the main accused is still at large.
In fact what’s heartbreaking is the fact that according to Jagran, Rinku Sharma had donated blood to the wife of one of the accused.
Contrary to the family’s claims, DCP, Outer Delhi, stated that the probe into the matter has revealed that the killing was due to a business rivalry with the quarrel starting during a birthday party over the shutting down of a restaurant. “Any other motive alluded to this incident is factually wrong,” said the DCP.
In no time, the mainstream media has started working overtime to whitewash the incident. It is pertinent to note that previous murders of IB Officer Ankit Sharma, Kamlesh Tiwari, Ankit Saxena and Dhruv Tyagi allegedly involved stabbing and throat-slitting thus emerging as a new modus operandi.
The Delhi Police must investigate the claims of the victim’s family and book the perpetrators of this ghastly crime.
