Kanhaiya Kumar, the mascot of the ‘tukde tukde gang’ that traces its origin to the infamous JNU sedition episode of 2016, drew heavy fire during his journey from Siwan to Chapra, where the former JNUSU President was going to participate in the “Jan Gan Man Yatra”.
Kanhaiya, who is lauded by the Lutyens’ elites as the voice of India’s youth, ironically faced the fury of the same youth when 20-25 youths attacked his cavalcade with stones.
This comes a bitter reality check for Kanhaiya, whose political ideology is based on supporting anti-India forces that support India’s Balkanization. He has spewed venom about India’s most respected state institution- its disciplined and humane security forces.
The controversial (read ‘infamous’) leader makes the most outlandish and outrageous allegations of human rights violations against India’s security forces, to the extent of inciting hatred against the Indian Army personnel by falsely labelling them as rapists of Kashmiri women.
While people like Kanhaiya Kumar, living in a world of their own, manufacture stories about Indian Army’s so called atrocities in Kashmir and elsewhere, not once they have spoken about stone peters and terrorists. You will never hear them condemn stone pelters that attack security forces and attack them ferociously even to the extent of causing death of Army personnel.
While the so called student activists, anti-India elements and the Lutyens’ media believe that Kanhaiya enjoys considerable political space in the country, he gets confronted with bitter ground realities every single time he goes out to campaign.
Even before the Lok Sabha elections, Kumar’s cavalcade was blocked and gheraoed by locals in Begusarai, the constituency from which he was contesting the General Elections. The locals had sought answers as to what kind of ‘Azaadi’ the CPI candidate demands in his speeches. They had also slammed Kanhaiya over the “tukde tukde” slogans at the JNU in 2016.
Kumar didn’t really have an answer to the difficult questions that were posed by the people of Begusarai. But the people of Begusarai had answers for his silence. Kanhaiya Kumar lost miserably to the BJP candidate, Giriraj Singh from Begusarai.
A margin of 4 lakh votes had revealed the kind of unpopularity that Kanhaiya enjoyed at the ground level. The people of Begusarai made it clear that they won’t support a candidate who is seen as the face of the ongoing break up India campaign.
During the anti CAA protests, the Lutyens’ media had once again tried to project Kanhaiya as the voice of India’s youth. With such propaganda, Kanhaiya was travelling to Chapra in Bihar. And he again got a bitter reality check as stones were thrown at his cavalcadle, among many other reasons, for his failure to condemn those who pelt stones at the Indian Army.
