He clarified like a teacher and responded like a jostler – Amit Shah’s brilliance at full display

The Shah magic

Sterilising the propaganda of the left liberals, Amit Shah once again busted each and every campaign of misinformation being spread by the opposition leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Sitaram Yechury over the Citizenship Amendment Bill. Union Home Minister Amit Shah while giving his preliminary address in the Rajya Sabha over the CAB said that minorities of the country should trust Prime Minister Narendra Modi instead of listening to the people who are misleading the minorities over the CAB.

Home Minister Amit Shah in Rajya Sabha: No Muslim in India needs to worry due to this Bill. Don't get scared if someone tries to scare you. This is Narendra Modi's Govt working according to constitution ,minorities will get full protection. #CitizenshipAmendmentBill https://t.co/6PYvZBEmwx pic.twitter.com/iNNwddZDaE

He stated, “Opposition is accusing us that we are practicing vote bank politics with the introduction of this bill….but I want to point out that we had brought forward this bill before 2019 Lok Sabha elections. People have given us mandate for this.”

Busting Rahul Gandhi’s lie that CAB is an attempt to cleanse Northeastern states ethnically, Amit Shah clarified that CAB would not be applied on the states covered in the 6th Schedule of the constitution, which has Assam, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura and Manipur and in the areas which have ILP- Inner Line Permit.

The CAB is a attempt by Modi-Shah Govt to ethnically cleanse the North East. It is a criminal attack on the North East, their way of life and the idea of India.

I stand in solidarity with the people of the North East and am at their service.https://t.co/XLDNAOzRuZ

— Rahul Gandhi (@RahulGandhi) December 11, 2019

Shah questioned the Congress over not following the Assam Accord saying that even after 35 years of the signing of the Assam Accord by then PM Rajiv Gandhi why the committee under clause 6 of accord was not constituted. He asserted that only after the Modi government came to power, the committee was constituted.

Further on the objection raised by opposition members about exclusion of only Muslims from the bill, Shah asked, “Do you want us to grant citizenship to Muslims from Pakistan, from Afghanistan, from Bangladesh, from the entire world? How can that be? How will we function if that happens?”

Liberals have been on their toes ever since they heard about the CAB; liberals such as Saba Naqvi, Barkha Dutt, Ramchandra Guha and Harsh Mander have been spreading their communal agenda saying that Muslims have to leave the country as they are in danger.

How much time do we have?

Where will they send us?

Questions I am being asked.#CitizenshipAmendmentBill2019

— Saba Naqvi (@_sabanaqvi) December 10, 2019

Protests in North East against #CABBill challenge the BJP assumption that religion is the only marker of identity in an outsider-insider debate. It is a reminder to the government about why this proposed new law coupled with the NRC is a terrible idea for a heterogeneous country

— barkha dutt (@BDUTT) December 11, 2019

One of the consequences of the CAB (and of Hindutva majoritarianism in general) will be that the brain drain will accelerate. Fewer and fewer Indian scientists educated abroad will want to come back to a land marked by hatred and bigotry. India's loss will be America's gain.

— Ramachandra Guha (@Ram_Guha) December 11, 2019

Amit Shah, however, also busted their propaganda, saying there is no such thing in the CAB, the minority has to go nowhere, and they must discard these misinformation campaigns. Minorities should trust the prime minister of the country, he said while reassuring his government’s commitment for the minorities. Amit Shah said the Citizenship Amendment Bill is only for minority communities of neighbouring countries and has nothing to do with Muslims in India.

Liberals and the secular opposition must realise the need of CAB and rise above lines for this. Pseudo seculars, left liberals and Congress have caused a grave disgrace for the nation by aligning with the line of Pakistan. Schooling as done by Amit Shah was need of the hour in order to bust the aura of misinformation around CAB. Liberals are furiously running baseless propaganda that India would turn into Hindu-Pakistan and would become a Hindu Rashtra without even knowing the meaning of it.

Shri @AmitShah ji on fire today. The truth has been spoken.#CitizenAmendmentBill2019 pic.twitter.com/i6X29Eg0Df

— Chetan Bragta (Modi Ka Parivar) (@chetanbragta) December 9, 2019

Amit Shah has been at the forefront in pushing the bill and this is not the first time he busted the misinformation campaign. When the CAB was tabled in the Lok Sabha, Amit Shah held no bars while justifying the Modi government’s move of bringing in the bill to provide citizenship to the persecuted minorities of Islamic nations like Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. The Congress was made to face the brunt of Amit Shah’s rage first hand for trying to stop the very introduction of the bill on the floor of the house.
