All 7 allegations of Mahua Moitra’s ‘viral’ speech comprehensively demolished with undeniable evidences, facts and data

Mahua Moitra, fascism, speech

The 2019 general elections saw the pseudo-liberal gang shifting into uncomfortable twists and turns, be it their new found concern for senior BJP leaders not getting Lok Sabha tickets or making a liberal hero out of Raj Thackeray, the pseudo-liberal gang used every possible tactic to paint any critic of Prime Minister and the current administration as a ‘liberal hero’. Nonetheless, these desperate attempts by the pseudo-liberal gang failed to make any significant dent in the minds of the electorate and the nation voted overwhelmingly on the issues of development and progress contrary to the propaganda being peddled by the pseudo-liberal ecosystem.

Despite the massive failure of their hypocritical attempts in the general elections the pseudo-liberal gang is back at it again, this time their new hero is All India Trinamool Congress MP, Mahua Moitra. Representing the Krishnanagar Lok Sabha constituency, Mahua Moitra came into the pseudo-liberal spotlight after her speech in the Lok Sabha. The issue she chose to raise was seven signs of fascism. In almost a tone-deaf manner, she delivered the speech and as if almost on cue, she was being hailed as perhaps the second coming. In her speech, TMC MP touched every topic that resonated with the pseudo-liberal gang from soft opposition of the Ram Janambhoomi temple in Ayodhya to “erosion of independence in electoral system”.

What a brilliant speech. More power to Mahua Moitra! https://t.co/PrjoueoM6o

— Mehbooba Mufti (@MehboobaMufti) June 26, 2019

Soon after her speech, the left-liberal ecosystem got into action and the propaganda machinery was fast to make a ‘liberal hero’ out of her. A barrage of articles and tweets from within the pseudo-liberal ecosystem soon dissipated this new discovery of the left-liberal gang, however, at every front, the left-liberal gang failed to highlight the underlying hypocrisy in her speech.

Underlying the ‘seven early signs of fascism’ citing an old WhatsApp forward, Mahua Moitra began her list by taking an aim at “powerful and continuing nationalism” which according to her was searing into “our national fabric”. Mahua Moitra’s comments come at a time when the nation is undergoing a major perspective change form looking at the world from the prism of a colonial hangover to recognizing and assimilating the 5000-year-old history of the Santana civilization. Over the past few years, the nation has made huge strides forward, where this recently awakened sense of nationalism has contributed immensely in transforming the Indian governance landscape by inspiring both young and old alike to contribute towards the development of the nation. A striking example is the success of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, where the sense of responsibility for the nation and the society, brought out crores of Indians out the streets to make India a cleaner and healthier place to live in. However, for the left-liberal gang and their new hero Mahua Moitra, this sense of nationalism is “superficial”, “xenophobic” and “narrow”.

In her second point, Mahua Moitra alleged that the government has been contemptuous of Human Rights in India. Mahua Moitra also cited a few incidents of law and order and tried to portray them as part of a nationwide trend against minorities, she even claimed that these crimes are being condoned. Support of her words by the pseudo-liberal gang is warranted as under the current administration several steps have been taken to put a check on activities of foreign-funded NGOs in India parading as rights organizations, several instances of misappropriation of funds and usage of funds for illegal activities like lobbying Members of Parliament have surfaced. Steps by the current administration to curb these illegal activities have not gone down well with the liberal gang and hence their support for Mahua Mohitra’s factless speech.

The next point raised by TMC MP was that of subjugation and control of mass media. In her speech, Mahua Moitra alleged that “coverage of every opposition party is cut out.” She also took aim at social media in her speech. The pseudo-liberals gang hailed these comments and again used this opportunity to play the victim card. The pseudo-liberal media in India for long has been trying to portray itself as innocent and independent; this notion of the pseudo-liberal media faced stiff resistance from the people over social media who called out every meek misleading attempt of the nexus. Several pseudo-liberal journalists have also been found involved in financial crimes, the pseudo-liberal media in this case too had come out in defence of the criminals and tried to paint actions of the government as anti-media while failing to address the elephant in the room. Mahua Moitra by her comments just joined the ranks of other hypocritical left-liberals who portray any action against crime as something as serious an attack on the media.

Going ahead with her fourth early sign of fascism, Mahua Moitra claimed that the nation is ‘obsessed’ with national security. Her comments come at a time when the nation is witnessing progressive steps ahead to revive the national security landscape in India, which has always been kept at the back seat of the agenda. Over the past few years, the action of Indian agencies against radical and Maoist elements has been the reason of hue and cry in the pseudo-liberal circles and Mahua Moitra’s comments being in line with then pseudo-liberal narrative is another reason for her being made the new ‘liberal hero’. Robust national security is an indispensable requirement for any nation moving forward in the 21st century however for Mahua Moitra and the pseudo-liberal gang, it is just an ‘Obsession’.

Fifth early sign of fascism claimed by the TMC MP was the increased intertwining of state policy and religion. Though she failed to mention any objective incident or example to back her claim, she tried to link NRC and the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill as something motivated by religion. The long-standing demand of the people of Bengal and Northeastern states has been to weed out illegal infiltrators who have been leeching on the recourses meant for genuine citizens; Mahua Moitra claimed that “We are making sure that it is only one community that is the target of anti-immigration laws.”, while conveniently missing to address the long-standing trend in Indian politics to appease specific religious communities for electoral benefits which in some cases meant giving voting rights to foreign infiltrators.

For her sixth early sign of fascism, Mahua Moitra claimed that this government has a “complete disdain for intellectuals and the arts”. She also accused the ruling government of not tolerating questions and suppressing the dissenting voices while questioning the government and dissenting. Pseudo-liberals for long have been exploiting the arts and other intellectual fields to propagate their political ideologies. The Award Wapsi gang surfacing before the Bihar assembly elections is a good example of how the pseudo-liberal gang orchestrated a charade to defame the government before elections. The artists and intellectuals who she claims are being discredited are just reaping the results of their long-standing hypocrisy which stands exposed by citizens on social media.

In her final and seventh early sign of fascism, Mahua Moitra said that there is an “erosion of independence in electoral system”. After facing continuous and massive defeats in several elections the pseudo-liberal nexus with some opposition parties have been trying hard to discredit the Election Commission and raise doubts over the outcomes of the elections. Some parties are even rooting for shifting back to the archaic ballot paper system; however, no party has been able to provide any evidence at all, proving their claims.

Mahua Moitra’s speech on fascism also raises questions on her understanding of the political situation in West Bengal where her party, the TMC is in the ruling position. West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee has been facing the worst law and order situation in the nation. TMC has even gone to the lengths of using the state’s political machinery to prevent political rallies by opposition leaders. Under TMC, West Bengal also saw various anti-Hindu laws being put in place around important festivals like Durga Puja. The political violence in West Bengal this general election is another indication of the dismal conditions in West Bengal. Consequently, it seems that Mahua Moitra’s experience with fascism is more rooted in TMC’s rule where political violence has become the hallmark of a desperate regime, press freedom and freedom of speech are negligent and even freedom of religion is suppressed. But Mahua Moitra is now the liberal hero, and like every liberal hero the cabal has chosen in the last 5 years, she is sure to face the wrath of citizens on the merit of her arguments, however, it is highly unlikely that the left-liberal gang mend its shady ways.
