It looks like Rahul Gandhi is far from improving himself for good. Learning the nitwits of shoot and scoot politics, he is continuously posing baseless allegations in order to portray himself as an ideal opposition leader. Even the lawsuit filed by Anil Ambani on Rahul’s baseless allegations about Reliance Group being hand in glove with the government in Rafale deal has refused to dampen his spirits. Regarding this issue the current Finance Minister and legal stalwart, Arun Jaitley, decided to take the matter in his own hands. In an elaborate Facebook post, he literally took Rahul Gandhi to the cleaners, ripping apart his alleged accusations in style, and asked him 15 questions with respect to the Rafale deal, as noted below:-
Needless to say, such questions can be met with only logical answers, which the current Congress President is completely devoid of. He did choose to answer, but he only tried to shift the goalposts.
In his characteristic style, Rahul Gandhi thanked Mr. Jaitley for “bringing the nation’s attention back to the great Rafale robbery”. To quote him, “Mr Jaitley, thanks for bringing the nation’s attention back to the GREAT #RAFALE ROBBERY! How about a Joint Parliamentary Committee to sort it out? Problem is, your Supreme Leader is protecting his friend, so this may be inconvenient. Do check & revert in 24 hrs. We’re waiting!”
This comeback might seem ‘witty to some’, but in reality it is more amateurish than an effective retort to the statements of Mr. Jaitley. No wonder Shri Arun Jaitley rightly accused Rahul of converting a serious deal like this into ‘a kindergarten or primary school debate’. Mr. Jaitley also asked whether Rahul Gandhi would treat a weaponized aircraft in the same manner as a simple aircraft.
If one looks carefully at those 15 questions, there is no room for doubt at all about the deal being shady. It is a mere diversionary tactic created by Congress in order to gain some meager votes in the upcoming 2019 elections. We’re no strangers to politicians trying to win an election by hook or crook, but this is a real low.
The controversy that should’ve been done and dusted when both the Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, as well as the French partners of this deal had issued a clear statement denying any mishap or corruption in the Rafale deal. However, like an adamant Hitler, Rahul Gandhi is needlessly stretching this controversy beyond any repair and with this only his party will be losing its credibility.
However, with this post, Shri Arun Jaitley has once again restored the sanctity of the Central Government, and has also exposed the façade of outrage that the Congress President Rahul Gandhi is practicing in the name of ‘asking tough questions’.
