No sooner had the news about the alleged attack on Umar Khalid came out, the whole cabal came out making a great show of sorrow. The event titled ‘Khauff Se Azaadi’, was organised by a group called ‘United Against Hate’, the event took place at the Constitution Club near Parliament. A scuffle at the entrance of the Constitution Club turned ugly when the accused fired in the air using his pistol, before he fled from the scene. The liberal cabal took no time to arrive at the conclusion that the whole incident had been planned by none other than the Prime Minister of the country and his close aides. The tweets on social media which followed the incident also targeted Republic TV and their lead journalist Arnab Goswami. The leftist cabal had already decided the people who were to be held responsible for the attack on Umar Khalid even before the police could begin their investigation.

So it has come to this? Now Umar Khalid .. Intimidation begins. Modi critiques, student leaders shot at in broad daylight. Is this the #India that we all envisage? So shocking!

Arnab Goswami and his Republic TV were the prime targets for the cabal this time; they blamed him for attacking Umar Khalid in interviews, which according to them had led to a negative image of Umar in the country. While there is no doubt that the likes of Umar and Kanhaiya Kumar have a negative image in the country, a certain journalist can nonetheless be never held accountable for it. The negative publicity which Umar Khalid has in the country today is due to his works such as raising Anti India slogans in JNU, Hate Speeches in Bhima Koregaon (Maharashtra) which further led to rioting and violence and for his campaigns for the release of Naxal sympathiser Professor Saibaba. Anybody who has any knowledge of Umar’s misdoings will understand that his actions and words are enough to make the people get angry with him, the use of violence against anyone can never be justified just like it is absolutely stupid to pin the blame on Arnab Goswami for the attack on Umar and his news channel. PM Modi has been the target of the leftist cabal since a very long time; this incident provided them with just the fodder they needed to blame PM Modi. The details of the incident are still murky but it is known that there were some talks before the accused fired shots in the air and fled the scene.
Umar Khalid was quoted saying by the ANI, “We were at a tea stall when a man came and attacked us with a pistol. This was in the heart of Delhi. I don’t know who those people were. I appeal to the police to investigate the matter”. In a bid to highlight their student leader the leftist cabal deemed fit to drag the name of PM Modi and Arnab Goswami to bring the spotlight on their future leftist leader. It is perfectly fine to criticise a Prime Minister, his policies and his ideologies but Khalid and his ilk have gone to every length to malign the name of the country and make the country weak from inside. An attack on Umar Khalid should be condemned, it should never have happened in the first place, because attacking a person physically in a democracy is stupid, but then again so is attacking a religion and a country while living off it.
