After nine days of hunger strike at Governor’s office in a hostile environment and treacherous AC room, Arvind Kejriwal’s health has deteriorated to such an extent that now he needs an immediate treatment. Supreme Leader of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal once again showed how big his heart is, despite opening the world-class Mohalla Clinics in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal is travelling to Bengaluru for his treatment because he does not want to occupy any space in Mohalla clinic which is meant for the residents of Delhi. Although Sanghis should know as Arvind Kejriwal ji once said Mohalla clinics can cure 97% of diseases so they can also visit Mohalla clinic for their treatment. As Kejriwal has previously proclaimed, “Among the people who come to the mohalla clinics, their 97 per cent diseases get cured”. But then Sanghis are asking why Kejriwal is not going to any other Delhi’s hospital -AIIMS, Max, Safdarjung hospital, Vedanta, Fortis, well the answer to this question is “sab mile hue hai ji”, Modi ji might conspire against him and that could be the reason why Kejriwal is going to Bengaluru for his safe and secure treatment.
The hunger strike of Arvind Kejriwal and his colleagues was unique, very unique. It is the first hunger strike of its kind where the fasting ministers gained weight, well another remarkable achievement by Arvind Kejriwal and his ministers. Modi Ji should definitely learn something from this. According to government officials, Kejriwal’s blood sugar level had shot up during the nine-day protest at the Lieutenant Governor’s office, and had been unstable for the past month. His predilection and dedication for Delhi is so much that he had a meeting with the IAS , before leaving Delhi for his treatment. In the meeting, he requested IAS officer to work sincerely and with dedication for Delhi just like him. Earlier Arvind Kejriwal had alleged that the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) Association in the city had been on a strike for the past four months. He claimed it to be a 4 month-long ‘strike’ by the IAS officers. A claim that was rejected in a categorical statement by IAS AGMUT, which has highlighted that all official duties are being carried out.

IAS officers simply demanded a safe working environment where officers do not feel threatened, intimidated or humiliated. This demand was made following the incident which took place on February 22nd. The top IAS officer of Delhi was invited to a meeting close to midnight with the MLAs of the Aam Aadmi Party at the Delhi Chief Minister’s residence, where the Chief Secretary was allegedly manhandled following which an FIR was lodged. Ever since, the IAS officers, in solidarity with the Chief Secretary, observed a 5-minute silence during lunch and insisted on written instructions instead of verbal orders in ad-hoc midnight meetings, that make them feel unsafe. Probably Kejriwal must be referring to this as a ‘strike’.
On a serious note why the politicians of all these political parties who claim that they have done so much for the health sector leave for the foreign countries for their treatment? Be it Sonia Gandhi or Kerala CM. Why don’t they trust the facilities where common folks go? Is it because those facilities are not reliable? Or they want superior health treatment which they have failed to provide to their people.
