What is that one art that AAP Government has mastered in their brief rendezvous with Power?

When cornered, pin the blame on people who cannot be named.

That’s the exact same trick that Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain tried when the AAP Government squarely blamed for the ‘Officials’ for the Dengue- chikungunya menace in Delhi. In their official response, the Delhi Government complained to the Supreme Court that some of the officials were not cooperating with it.

When the Supreme Court asked Satyendra Jain to file a proper response with names of the officials, Satyendra Jain sought 24-hour time to file the response. The apex court slammed the approach of the AAP government in the matter.

The Supreme Court stated “When people are dying, you don’t need 24 hours to file affidavit”

The Supreme Court further told the solicitor general of the AAP government, Ranjit Kumar “When you make tall claims you must back it up with action,” the supreme court told.

In addition to that the Supreme Court ordered Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain to pay up a fine of Rs 25000 in his personal capacity for delay in revealing names of officers who as per his reports, are allegedly disobeying his orders on dealing with vector-borne diseases dengue and chikungunya.

The Supreme court will now hear the matter on Tuesday. The AAP government will be required to to file a detailed report about the Dengue- Chikungunya menace in Delhi.

As per government figures, the total number of dengue cases has reached to 2,133 in Delhi. Of these 441 cases out of these are new, testifying the lack of adequate measures. Total number of chikungunya cases as per the records in Delhi is 5,293 which includes a whopping 1,598 new cases.

It will be interesting to see the next move of the AAP Government. In the expansionist quest of establishing footprints across India, the primary duty of the AAP lies forgotten.
