Rahul Gandhi, the Congress prince has done it again, this time with his ‘Khoon Ki Dalali’ jibe. The fact that Rahul Gandhi acknowledges the surgical strike by the Indian army can perhaps serve as proof enough for Kejriwal and his ilk but the common man who was initially bemused by Rahul’s commendation for Modi on the surgical strikes are now not so amused by his prewritten words of belligerence where he himself desperately politicizes the surgical strikes.
Khoon ki Dalali Jibe: Sheer Despondency of Rahul Gandhi
Blame it on his sheer despondency of the upcoming UP elections or his usual Modi hating penchant but the beleaguered prince forgets that unlike Pakistan, India is a democratic country and the Indian army works in sync and as per the instructions of the Defense ministry of the Indian Government.
This jibe simply reflects the Gandhi attitude. Modi is doing “Khoon ki Dalali” because only Gandhis have the exclusive birthright to appropriate credit.
In fact it was his own great grandfather Nehru who out of fear of a coup during the post-independence time made many ring fencing changes to curtail the army’s decision making powers and inflicted many budget cuts on the army so much that the then army chief Field Marshal Cariappa had criticized the government’s economic performance, at which he was asked to mind his business.
The army cannot make its own decisions without consulting the government especially in matters as grave as a surgical strike and so far in the history of Independent India there has never been dual powers governing us or dictatorial whips lashed out by the military without the connivance of the ruling government.
Hence it is for the speech writers of Rahul Gandhi to reflect upon the damage they have self-inflicted and instead focus on allowing him to be politically correct going forward, at least for the sake of showing some national integrity in the hour of a national crisis as the common man will not take kindly to such insensitive politicking.
If the army has executed those defense strategies with commendable precision and professionalism, isn’t it the Government that has taken this stance and stood by its army like a rock?
In the west, even staunch rivals put up their gentlemanly best and stand by the ruling Government and their leader when it concerns to matters of nation’s security and pride.
In the past when India went to war with Pakistan and China during the Congress rule, credit was always given where it was due. The people of this nation are enlightened enough to see through the political muck of mudslinging matches and will no more fall prey to hysterical pitches of demagogue.
It is really intriguing that a party with a lowly 44seats holds not just overt egoistic grudge but a whole lot of money, muscle and media and manipulative power and will not let go of it even at the cost of this nation!
Khoon Ki Dalali Jibe: The pettiness of power and ego battles
It is extremely shameful that a rigorous terror countering mechanism of our esteemed defense forces together with a determined Government was met with a Ekta Kapoor soap like taunt(Khoon Ki Dalali) by the pettiness of power and ego battles has indeed pushed Rahul Gandhi in the lowest rungs of polity that history can ever remember. And the fact that seasoned Congress veterans like Kapil Sibal have to hold press conferences and issue categorical Yesmen statements to prove their political loyalty to the disillusioned dynasty irrespective of any logical bearing or factual correctness in their rhetoric reeks of a strategical bankruptcy amidst a powerless visionless Congress that is fast setting stage for its own grand doom.
