Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have become parents for the second time, welcoming a baby girl on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
The couple shared the happy news on social media with a simple announcement featuring a tiny baby footprint and the words, “Welcome Baby Girl,” followed by the date “19.9.2026.” The post was signed by “Dua, Deepika & Ranveer,” marking their family’s new addition.
The arrival of their second daughter comes nearly two years after the birth of their first child, Dua. Deepika and Ranveer welcomed Dua on September 8, 2024, and announced her arrival in a similarly understated social media post.
Deepika and Ranveer announced pregnancy in April
The couple had announced their second pregnancy on April 19, 2026, sharing a picture featuring their daughter Dua and pregnancy-themed imagery. The announcement was accompanied by evil-eye emojis rather than a lengthy caption.
In the days leading up to the birth, Deepika and Ranveer were also seen seeking blessings at Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple. They visited the temple on September 18, a day before announcing the birth of their second daughter.
The couple, who married in Italy in November 2018, have largely kept their family life away from the spotlight. Their second daughter’s arrival now makes Dua an elder sister.
The newborn’s name has not yet been announced publicly.
On the professional front, Deepika is set to appear in Siddharth Anand’s King, alongside Shah Rukh Khan, while Ranveer is set to feature in Pralay.
The announcement has since prompted congratulatory messages from friends, colleagues and fans across social media.
