As the Narendra Modi-led central government completes 12 years in office, the moment has triggered a layered political response across the country, with Uttar Pradesh emerging as the centre of a synchronised outreach exercise that blends celebration, symbolism and organisational mobilisation.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi extending his greetings on the completion of 12 years of the Union government under his leadership. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also congratulated the Prime Minister, calling the period a “golden era” of service, good governance and development. In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is performing prayers and rituals seeking the Prime Minister’s long life and good health.
Statewide Temple Outreach Across 403 Constituencies
In this backdrop, the Bharatiya Janata Party has launched a special religious and public outreach initiative in Uttar Pradesh under its broader campaign marking “12 Years of Trust, Development and Public Welfare”. On Wednesday, party leaders and workers across all 403 Assembly constituencies are scheduled to visit prominent temples in their respective areas. At these religious sites, they will offer prayers and express wishes for Prime Minister Modi’s longevity, good health and continued national development.
The exercise reflects a coordinated attempt to merge devotional activity with political communication, turning the anniversary into a structured outreach programme across the state. The temple visits are not isolated acts but part of a larger, synchronised mobilisation involving the party’s organisational network at multiple levels.
Pankaj Chaudhary’s Programme in Varanasi
BJP state president and Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary will lead the initiative in Varanasi, where he is scheduled to perform special prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Prior to that, he will visit the Kashi Anathalaya in Lahurabir, where he will distribute clothes and fruits among children, adding a social welfare dimension to the day’s engagements.
Party MPs, MLAs, district presidents and other organisational office-bearers are also participating in similar temple visits and prayer programmes across Uttar Pradesh, ensuring that the campaign reflects a uniform presence of the party’s leadership structure at the grassroots level.
Campaign Extended Through Multi-Phase Outreach
Beyond the temple-led mobilisation, the BJP has also launched a wider public contact programme across Uttar Pradesh under the banner of “12 Years of Trust, Development and Public Welfare”. This programme will continue until 14 June and is aimed at communicating the achievements of the central government through structured outreach activities.
From 14 to 16 June, public welfare camps will be organised across districts to expand the party’s engagement with citizens and deliver services. This will be followed by district-level “Developed India Sankalp Conferences” on 16 and 17 June, designed to reinforce the party’s governance narrative and strengthen public interaction.
According to the party, the objective of these initiatives is to take the achievements of the past 12 years of the central government to every household while deepening its connection with the public and consolidating organisational outreach across Uttar Pradesh.
