As campaigning is scheduled to end in Tamil Nadu this evening, Union Minister Piyush Goyal sharpened the NDA’s political pitch. He claimed the alliance is heading towards a “massive victory.” He also said the verdict will send a strong message to Chief Minister M.K. Stalin.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission confirmed that all campaign activity would stop after 6 pm. As a result, parties intensified their final outreach across the state.
Direct Criticism of DMK Leadership
Goyal launched a strong attack on the DMK leadership. He accused M.K. Stalin and Udhayanidhi Stalin of “hurting Tamil sentiments.”
In addition, he said their remarks targeted Tamil culture, tradition, and heritage. He also referred to their comments on Sanatan Dharma, which he described as a way of life for many in Tamil Nadu and across India.
Furthermore, Goyal said these positions have deeply impacted public sentiment. According to him, Tamil Nadu will not forget these issues. He added that the state “will not forgive” such actions.
Reservation and Governance Under Fire
Goyal also criticised the DMK and Congress over reservation policies. He said both parties failed to ensure proper representation, especially for women.
As a result, he argued that governance gaps have weakened social empowerment. He added that this remains a key voter concern.

Additionally, Goyal claimed there is a “massive wave” in favour of the NDA in Tamil Nadu. He projected AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami as the next Chief Minister.
He also referred to comments by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. According to him, regional voices in South India reflect a broader political shift.
However, he said the DMK has failed to ensure equal opportunity across regions. He further claimed it has weakened inclusive development goals.

Meanwhile, other parties also intensified their attacks. The BJP accused the DMK of poor governance and alleged dynastic politics at the grassroots level.
In contrast, the AIADMK focused on law and order. Edappadi K. Palaniswami said crimes against women have increased under the current government.

On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal defended the DMK government. He said Tamil Nadu has seen development under its leadership. At the same time, he criticised the AIADMK for aligning with the BJP. He also compared the situation to political shifts in Bihar under Nitish Kumar.
Meanwhile, the Congress party accused the Income Tax Department of targeting its Tamil Nadu president, Selva Perunthagai. It alleged misuse of central agencies to disrupt opposition activity.
