The investigation into the Nashik branch of Tata Consultancy Services has widened after HR executive Nida Khan went missing amid serious allegations of workplace harassment, religious coercion, and sexual exploitation.
What began as internal complaints raised by employees within the corporate environment is now being examined more broadly, with investigators reviewing emerging claims and possible external connections linked to the case.
Police teams are currently searching for Khan, who is believed to have gone underground as multiple complaints tied to the case continue to be examined. Search operations have been carried out in several locations, including the densely populated region of Bhiwandi, as part of efforts to trace the missing HR executive.
At the centre of the investigation are allegations involving the targeted harassment of women employees, particularly young recruits at entry level within the organisation. According to details emerging during the probe, several individuals have already been arrested in connection with complaints that include sexual exploitation, blackmail, and coercion within the workplace.
Investigators are also examining claims that certain employees were pressured to adopt specific religious practices, including offering namaz, wearing the hijab, and consuming beef.
Officials involved in the investigation have further indicated that closed WhatsApp groups are being reviewed as part of the inquiry. These groups are believed to have been used for communication among individuals allegedly linked to the case, with investigators analysing whether they were used to coordinate activities or manage interactions with targeted employees.

Police teams have intensified efforts to locate Khan as multiple First Information Reports related to workplace misconduct are being investigated by a Special Investigation Team. Alongside the criminal probe, internal disciplinary measures have also been taken by the company, with suspensions reported following preliminary findings.

The scope of the investigation expanded after claims surfaced suggesting a possible connection between Khan and Dr Shaheen, a figure reportedly associated with the Red Fort attack case.
Investigators are also examining reported references linking Dr Shaheen to Sadia Azhar, who has been described in circulating accounts as being associated with Jaish-e-Mominat, portrayed as a women-focused wing linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed.
Authorities are currently reviewing communication records, travel histories, and other digital evidence to determine whether any interaction occurred.
