You surely haven’t forgotten the Pahalgam attack on April 22, nor the Indian Army’s response to the terrorists that followed. You will also recall the bravery displayed during Operation Sindoor. While our Army may have won against terror and Pakistan in this conflict, we have fallen behind in the narrative war.
A political game and a Pakistan-sponsored agenda had such an effect that some Indians particularly leaders of opposition parties began to demand proof from their own Army. Despite clear statements from the Army Chief, the Air Chief and the CDS, a campaign was run against the Army and our victory was downplayed. Fingers were raised at the courage of the Indian Army. Although the Indian Army is among the world’s most professional armed forces and is unfazed by such smear campaigns, when our own people begin to question the Army, it makes the enemy’s job easier.
That is why it is important that we stand with our Army and our country. Citizens, especially the youth, should stand by their Army. To that end, Youth Bharti, TFI Media (Think For India) and Bharat 24 have launched a campaign to directly reach young people, raise defence awareness and address their concerns.
As part of this initiative a workshop was organised at Deshbandhu College, Delhi University, where Major General Sanjay Meston (Retired) was the chief speaker. He not only engaged with the students but answered their questions and allayed their doubts.
During the event he appealed to students to remain united and to stand firmly with the Army in these difficult times.
On the occasion he said that “if the Army is a fist, the nation’s people are its arm; and when the full strength of the arm is behind the fist, the punch will land with force.”
Therefore, we must stand by our Army and our country in all circumstances. He also reassured students about the valour of the Indian Army.
Colonel Mayank Chaubey is raising awareness among students in Dehradun.
Besides Delhi, Youth Bharti, Bharat 24 and TFI have held several such programmes in Dehradun as well, conducted by defence expert Colonel Mayank Chaubey. There he urged young people to remain united and not fall for Pakistan-sponsored fake campaigns.
The aim of the programme is to conduct at least 1,000 workshops across the country in schools, colleges, universities, on social platforms and in corporate offices to build support for the Indian Army and raise defence awareness.
