In a shocking incident of murder and betrayal, a YouTuber wife with the help of her lover has murdered her husband and dumped his body in a drain in Bhiwani district of Haryana. The murder, which was committed in March, has sent the region into shock, particularly because the accused woman was an active social media user as a YouTuber. The accused, identified as Ravina, was married to Praveen since 2017. The couple had a six-year-old son named Mukul and lived in Bhiwani, Haryana where Praveen worked as a driver at a sand and gravel shop. According to police, the couple frequently fought over Ravina’s increasing activity on social media, especially the videos and reels she uploaded.
Their strained relationship took a darker turn when Ravina reportedly became romantically involved with another YouTuber, Suresh, whom she met through Instagram nearly a year and a half ago. Suresh hails from Premnagar village in Hisar district.
On the night of March 25, the situation escalated when Praveen allegedly caught Ravina and Suresh in a compromising position at their home. A major argument broke out, after which, in a fit of rage and panic, Ravina and her lover allegedly strangled Praveen to death.
To cover up the crime, the duo reportedly placed Praveen’s body between them on a bike and transported it to a drain on Dinod Road, outside Bhiwani city, where they dumped it. Praveen’s decomposed body was found three days later during a search operation conducted by police and his family.
Authorities reviewed hundreds of CCTV camera footages from nearby areas. One clip showed a man with a helmet and Ravina riding a bike with what appeared to be a wrapped body between them.
After rigorous interrogation, Ravina admitted to the murder. YouTuber wife was sent to judicial custody, whereas police are scanning for her runaway boyfriend Suresh. The case has brought forth serious issues regarding the role of social media in personal relationships and the drastic measures people are taking due to emotional pressure.
