US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has once again fearlessly spoken the truth about the persecution and genocide of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. During her visit to India for the Raisina Dialogue, she highlighted the systematic violence and abuse faced by Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, and other religious minorities, making it clear that the Trump administration is deeply concerned about the ongoing atrocities in the country.
Director of US National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard stated, “The long-time unfortunate persecution and killing and abuse of religious minorities ie. Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, and others has been a major area of concern for the US government and President Trump and his administration.”
She further emphasized how Islamist terrorist groups in Bangladesh are operating under the same ideological goal of establishing an Islamist caliphate, targeting non-Muslims with violence, oppression, and terror.
Instead of acknowledging these well-documented facts, the Bangladesh interim government under Muhammad Yunus reacted with sheer dishonesty, dismissing Gabbard’s remarks as “misleading and damaging” to their so-called reputation. The fact that Bangladesh is more concerned about its image rather than the safety and survival of its Hindu minority speaks volumes about its priorities. The government conveniently denied any link to “Islamist caliphate” forces while blatantly ignoring the continuous mob violence, land grabs, and forced conversions Hindus have endured for decades.
For years, Bangladesh has been a graveyard for Hindus, with their population dropping from 30% in 1947 to less than 8% today. This isn’t migration, it’s systematic ethnic cleansing, driven by Islamist mobs, government apathy, and organized violence against minorities. Yet, every time the issue is raised, the Bangladeshi leadership hides behind empty rhetoric, pretending to be a victim of “misinformation” rather than the perpetrator of one of the worst religious persecutions in South Asia.
Bangladesh claims to be working with the international community to counter extremism, yet Hindu homes are still being burned, temples are desecrated, and Hindu women are abducted for forced conversions, often with no action from authorities. The infamous Vested Property Act, which has been used to seize Hindu-owned land for decades, is still a major tool of economic persecution against the minority community.
Despite their weak denials, the reality is that Bangladesh has become a breeding ground for Islamist extremism, where radical groups openly call for an Islamist state. Hindus, Buddhists, and Christians live in constant fear, facing harassment, false blasphemy charges, and violent mob attacks. The international community has repeatedly highlighted the issue, but liberal apologists and Islamist sympathizers continue to whitewash Bangladesh’s crimes against minorities.
Instead of attacking Tulsi Gabbard, Bangladesh should answer the real questions: Why have Hindu temples been systematically destroyed? Why do Islamist mobs attack Hindu villages with impunity? Why has the Hindu population dropped to 8%? Why do Bangladeshi Hindus continue to flee to India seeking refuge? The Bangladeshi government’s lies won’t change these facts. Gabbard exposed the truth—and no amount of damage control can erase the decades of bloodshed, persecution, and terror faced by Hindus in Bangladesh. The world must hold this failed Islamist state accountable before it’s too late.
