1) Kya Soorat Hai [1999]:

Better not call yourself a connoisseur of Indian music if you haven’t heard this classic from Bombay Vikings. Not many know that this is a remake of “Zaroorat Hai Zaroorat Hai” from the 1962 flick “Manmauji”, sung by Kishore Kumar! Now that’s one classic remake!

2) Pretty Woman [2003]:

The remake “Pretty Woman” was an honest tribute to the original song from the movie “Kal Ho Naa Ho” (2003). Sung by Shankar Mahadevan, Ravi Rags Khote, and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the new version retained the delightful charm and infectious energy of the original while adding a fresh twist. The revamped track honored the timeless classic, resonating with audiences and bringing back fond memories of the original melody.

3) Woh Chali Woh Chali [2000]:

The remake “Woh Chali Woh Chali” by Neeraj Shridhar was an honest tribute to the original song “Main Chali Main Chali” (1988) from the movie “Padosan” [1968]. Neeraj Shridhar’s rendition preserved the fun and playful essence of the classic while infusing it with contemporary vibes. The revamped version paid homage to the beloved original, appealing to both the old and new generations of listeners.

6) Hungama Ho Gaya [2014]:

The remake “Hungama Ho Gaya” was an honest tribute to the original song “Hungama Ho Gaya” (1973) by staying true to its lively and celebratory spirit. 7) Samjhawan [2014]:

The remake “Samjhawan” was an honest tribute to the original song from the movie “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania” (2014). 8) Gud Naal Ishq Mitha [2015]:

The only good thing about the Sunny Deol and Kangana Ranaut starrer “I Love NY” was probably this song. Originally sung by Bally Sagoo, the remake was rather eclipsed by the lacklustre performance of the movie.

9) Rock Tha Party [2016]:

The 2016 track “Rock Tha Party” was a fitting tribute to the original classic “Rock Tha Party” (2005) by retaining the infectious energy and groove of the original while infusing it with fresh beats and contemporary vibes. The new version, also sung by Bombay Rockers, paid homage to the original’s captivating essence and became a chart-topping dance anthem for the modern era.

The song retained the energetic and sensual vibe of the original, making it a fitting tribute to the legendary Zeenat Aman.

These remakes successfully brought the charm of the past to a new generation of music lovers, cementing the belief that good music transcends time and remains eternal.
