MAHUA LARS BRORSON: Trinamool Congress (TMC) motormouth MP Mahua Moitra is controversy’s favourite child. She always hogs the media limelight by making snide and incendiary remarks. Plus, she is infamous for delivering word salads with a truckload of ‘-isms’, like fascism, plagiarism, and anti-capitalism, among others. Many times, she appears to be indulging in grandstanding with heavy jargon callously stuffed into her speech without contextual need.
But for the past few days, several hashtags with her name have been trending on social media platforms. So, let’s understand what the latest controversy is that she has stirred up now.
MAHUA LARS BRORSON: What’s in a name?
Now, first things first. ‘Mahua Lars Brorson’ is trending on the internet courtesy of the TMC leader’s fascination with calling other people by their “REAL NAME.” It all started when Mahua Moitra was making political remarks and attacking the UP government. In doing so, she deliberately calls CM Yogi Adityanath by his pre-renunciation name, that is, Ajay Singh Bisht.

To make a political point against the UP CM, she again refers to CM Yogi by name, calling him Mr. Thok Do’.

Mahua Moitra stated during a press conference that she prefers to refer to people by their real names. She further adds “The Honourable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Ajay Bisht, had himself stated gaadi palat jati hai (the car overturns)”, and she continued, “His (Yogi Adityanath’s) real name is Ajay Bisht, although he calls himself a Yogi.”

So, who is Lars Brorson?
It should be noted that Mahua Moitra married a Danish financier, Lars Brorson, and they lived in Scandinavia. They tied the knot in 2002; however, they later parted ways and got divorced. Other than that, there is very little known about their relationship.
Several netizens pointed this out and claimed that the agitated TMC leader is on a blocking spree at the mere mention of this name. However, the author didn’t experience this firsthand.
