Padampura Jain Mandir – Guide
Padampura Jain Mandir is located in Jaipur with an area of 50,000 square feet and approximately 4,600 square meters. This temple is dedicated to the sixth Tirthankara Padmaprabha. His idol is made of red stone with a lotus symbol on it. The temple is considered to be the most peaceful Atishay Kshetra, which means the place of miracles. Apart from this, people believe that worshiping the Lord in this temple helps a man to grow mentally and physically.
History of this Temple
The first idol of the temple was discovered by the original Jat. He was a common villager who was digging the ground to lay the foundation of his new house. After getting the idol the villagers decided to worship the Lord. Soon, the place became popular among Jains which later turned into a temple.
The incident is of the year 1944 AD. At that time many positive changes were seen in the lifestyle and condition of the villages. For example, the crop cycle and its production were at their peak while animal deaths and the spread of disease had also stopped. Jaipur is a dry area which also suffers from water scarcity but after the establishment of Padampura Jain Temple, all the problems regarding water got cured.
Padampura Jain Mandir Timings
Padampura Jain Mandir open for visitors at 5:30 am in the morning and must be visited before 8:30 pm in the evening. However, the fundamental Padampura Jain temple timings that all Jain temples follow is from sunrise to sunset.
