It seems that if the fringe elements can yell lies and propaganda at the top of their voice, they can trample the sane but feeble expression of the majority. The ignorance and over-compassionate behaviour of the majority has started to cost them dearly at the hands of Wokes. Apparently, the Karnataka government seems to have fallen for the woke agenda. It has soured its remarkable works with its new woke terminology and is incentivising the gender dysphoria.
Karnataka government announces a new reservation quota – “Male Third Gender”
On the 13th of September, Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra made a shocking announcement that reeked of wokeness. He stated that the recruitment process for 3,484 posts of Police Constables has started. He announced that for the first time in state history, Reservation quota will be allotted to ‘male third gender’ in the state armed forces recruitment process.
He said, “For the first time in the state, 79 posts have been reserved for the ‘male third gender’ “.

The Minister Jnanendra elaborated that 420 posts have been reserved for candidates hailing from ‘Kalyana Karnataka’ region. Out of these 420 posts, 11 posts have been reserved for the ‘male third gender’. He further stated that recruitment for 3,064 posts will be held across the rest of the Karnataka region. Here also, 68 posts have been mandatorily reserved for the ‘male transgender’.
Transgender: No such gender as “Male Third Gender”
Acclaimed Transgender and Karnataka ‘Rajyotsava’ awardee Akkai Padmashali welcomed the government’s decision to provide special reservation in the state armed forces. Padmashali is the founder of ‘Ondede’ which works for transgenders’ welfare. The queer activist stated that this announcement is “a mainstreaming of the third gender”.

However, Padmashali categorically said, “there is no third gender called ‘Male Third Gender‘. What I understand from their (government) point of view is that probably, they are referring to the ‘female to male transformed transgender man’ “.’
Wokeness: a new epidemic on the rise?
The Americans in particular and Western society as a whole, are witnessing the ugly side of Woke Politics. Stringent laws are being framed in the name of self gender identification which are outright autocratic and full of hatred for its naysayers or ignorant folks. Popular American Journalist Tucker Carlson telecasted a show dedicated to rampant rise of transgender movement in America. In the show, he highlighted the ignorance of common citizens about such woke agendas. However, he emphasised that people have to stand up against it when young minds are lured or provoked to undergo needless surgeries, castration and other cruelties.

He said, “This is being sold on social media, particularly on TikTok and Instagram and the rest, as a way of personal liberation, and it’s a lie. The rest of us have been told to shut up about it because we’re being mean to some oppressed community if we say this. Most Americans don’t care. You want to call yourself whatever you want with a dress however you want. Most people don’t care and don’t want to get involved in it.” (sic)
He added, “But if they’re sending children into irreparable surgeries and castrating them and sterilising them for life, then we have a moral obligation to say, no, you’re not allowed to do that. That’s illegal. We have to ban this. It’s one of the worst things that’s happened in our lifetimes. And the rest of us have been so intimidated by the screaming of the activists and the highly funded lobbies they have in Washington. We just sort of let it happen. And we’ve really been cowed into silence. You can’t do this to kids. Sorry, not allowed.” (sic)

Similarly, another American Journalist and Author Abigail Shrier highlighted the tectonic shift in pattern of Gender dysphoria cases. In an interview on her book titled – “Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters”, she highlighted that laws and regulations are forcing medical experts and psychiatrists to adopt an insane strategy of affirmative care system. Under this wokeness-driven system, psychiatrists and medical practitioners are said to not apply any medical judgement rather surrender to and affirm the self-diagnosis of the patient regarding the query of gender dysphoria and gender transformation.
In simpler terms, as per laws in certain American and Western states, psychiatrists have to take this affirmative care standard and have to prescribe medication and treatment according to the pre-drawn conclusions of the patient asking for gender transformation.
The new decision by Karnataka government is laudable to the extent of empowering the weaker section which includes socially ostracised transgender but it has a possibility to open floodgates for self gender identity rather than biologically determined sex. Gender dysphoria may force people to undergo gender transformation in some rare cases but incentivising the gender transformation can be catastrophic as has been witnessed in America and elsewhere.
