Himanta Biswa Sarma is one of the Chief Ministers in the nation who does not believe in mincing his words when it comes to crisp fry some elements of the society. These elements could be liberals, anti-nationals, and of course opposition. Dare someone tries to mock PM Modi or belittle the BJP government by any means, Himanta’s slap would be enough to teach them the lesson of their life. At least, this is what we witnessed yesterday when Himanta schooled Rajdeep Sardesai as the latter wanted a debate between PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, on Friday, held a press conference only to slam the Modi government over rising inflation. He attacked PM Modi over the increasing price of the goods, revised GST, and usage of federal agencies, such as the Enforcement Directorate, to silence the opposition. Mr Gandhi, during his press conference, also said, “India under dictatorship, democracy is dead.”
The senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai seemingly got excited as he found an opportunity to take a dig at the government. He went on to suggest a debate between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi and tweeted, “A debate maybe between Mr Gandhi and Mr Modi? Live across all news media?”
What a tight slap it was
Assam Chief Minister Himanta, known for his fiery responses, soon took to Twitter to give Sardesai a ‘memorable’ thrashing and tweeted that “Rajdeep – between Hon’ble PM and @RahulGandhi? Hope you are in sense. Rahul Gandhi and any Zilla Parishad Member of@BJP4India– However, I will not object for the proposed one sided affair.”

Meanwhile, Several Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi were arrested by the Delhi police yesterday as they launched a massive protest against the government over unemployment, inflation, and rising prices and marched towards Rashtrapati Bhavan.
You see, Priyanka Gandhi was detained for creating chaos during the protest. It has become a daily affair for her to violate the rules and misbehave with police who, in fact, are just keen on maintaining the peace of the capital city. Priyanka dressed in black as a mark of protest, had climbed over barricades to reach the spot. She held a brief sit-in only to become a hurdle for the police. However, she was taken away by cops later. Mind you, the protest was launched despite the fact that Police had denied permission for the protest citing law and order.
Given that everyone is equal in the eyes of the law, the police were forced to take action against the so-called princess who, time and again, makes the law go for a toss and expects the administration to deal with her tantrums.
When Himanta factually destroyed Rahul Gandhi
Earlier as reported by TFI, during his speech at Cambridge University, Rahul had addressed loads of issues, most of which were controversial in nature. He had commented on the integrity and brotherhood of Indian states.
In order to defend his remark that India is a ‘Union of State’ remark, he said, “What emerged out of freedom movement was a negotiation between these states and identities and religion. So, India emerged bottom-up and all these states UP, Maharashtra, Assam, and Tamil Nadu got together and negotiated peace. From this union of states, which required a conversation, emerged the instrument of that conversation- the Constitution, the idea that one man will have one vote, the election system, the IITs, and the IIMs.”

Himanta Biswa Sarma decided to call him out on a public platform. Himanta, a subject matter expert of Indian politics reminded Rahul of how his grandfather Jawaharlal Nehru was ready to hand over Assam to Pakistan.
On Twitter, Sarma shared a clip of Rahul Gandhi’s remarks about Assam and wrote, “This is height of fake intellectualism! Assam never ‘negotiated peace’ with India. With Gandhiji’s support, Gopinath Bordoloi had to struggle to keep Assam with Bharat Mata since Nehru left us to be with Pakistan as per Cabinet Mission Plan. Get your facts right, Mr. Gandhi.”
Himanta knows how to retaliate. He does not accept anything which is humiliating for PM. His recent actions would have taught Rajdeep that do not mess with BJP’s firebrand leaders.
