Three days ahead of the release of Laal Singh Chaddha, the controversy around the film does not seem to end anytime soon. While it has already been declared by moviebuffs that the film will fall flat at the box office, the fate of the film seems to be hanging by a thread. Apparently, statements passed by Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the past led to #boycottlaalsinghchaddha gaining momentum on social media. Now, another tweet has added fuel to this trend today.
Atul Kulkarni’s vicious brain
It is in public knowledge that netizens have called for a boycott of the film over the intolerance remarks made by Aamir Khan back in 2015. While the star cast of the film was already receiving flak, its scriptwriter has also come under the limelight for all the wrong reasons. Atul Kulkarni whom you have seen in the film ‘Rang De Basanti’ is the scriptwriter of the film.

His tweet from 2013 has now become another reason for the netizens to boycott the film. He had tweeted, “I am sure the religious groups must be against atheism. So what’s next? A petition to criminalise atheists?! I’ll be in jail soon!!!”
Atul, while replying to a Twitter user, Atul Kulkarni also wrote that “@Trollossal @anshulddt and what makes you think I’m a ‘hindu’ ??????!!!!!!!”
His tweets are being widely shared on social media platforms and people are slamming Atul Kulkarni for his anti-Hindu remarks.

Netizens pouring in thrashing remarks’
Soon after the tweet caught the attention of the public, people started calling Atul Kulkarni out for being anti-Hindu. One Twitter user slamming Kulkarni wrote, “#AtulKulkarni is Hindu only when a movie is releasing. Otherwise he is a reddist, atheist, c0mmunist, leftist, feminist, rebel with no cause activist.”

Another Twitter user also taught him a lesson as he wrote, “#AtulKulkarni is not a Hindu but atheist, he himself said in previous tweets and opposed CAA. Bollywood is filled with many such liber***us who are just having Hindu names but serve agenda of Hindu haters in Bollywood. #BoycottLaalSinghChhadha.”

Social media is filled with users who have come together to thrash Kulkarni for hurting religious sentiments. In one such attempt, another netizen also took to Twitter to expose the hypocrisy of Atul Kulkarni and tweeted, “The journey for becoming “Who said I am Hindu” to “I am Hindu & Marathi Brahmin” of #AtulKulkarni. If you are a Hindu, say proudly that you are a Hindu each time. If you don’t want to call yourself a Hindu, then never consider yourself a Hindu. Don’t change colour like (chameleon pic).”

Laal Singh Chaddha is a flop
Ever since the trailer of Aamir Khan’s much-awaited ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has been released, there are multiple controversies surrounding the movie. The movie has reminded people of Aamir Khan’s controversial statements made in the past and the few anti-India steps taken by him during the shoot of the movie. Thus, a few days ahead of its release, angry netizens stepped in and called for a boycott of the film.
