A comprehensive list of Hindus killed or injured by radical Islamists for supporting Nupur Sharma

In the past few months, Islamic radicalisation has been on a rampant rise. Violent assaults and murders in the name of religion are becoming a badge of honour for psychopaths. In the garb of any trivial issue, grievances or excuses, Jihadis are hacking known and unknown Hindus at will. These rampant attacks have one thing in common. The Islamists want to terrorise the nation and impose some kind of mental slavery on innocent citizens. However, the more worrying thing is that the ideology responsible for such religious indoctrination is running unabated thanks to secular politics prevalent in the nation.

Will Islamists decide the rights and ultimate fate of Indians?

On 4th August, 23-year-old Pratik Pawar was viciously attacked by a Muslim mob in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar district. The mob attacked him on the excuse that he had been putting social media posts and statuses in support of Nupur Sharma. They used swords, sickles and hockey sticks in the attack. As per media reports, the attackers said that they will make him suffer the same fate as Umesh Kolhe (murdered for allegedly supporting Nupur Sharma).

The Muslim mob didn’t spare Pratik’s friend Amit Mane, who was accompanying him at the time of the attack. While Mane suffered serious head injuries, Pratik was rushed into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

A Police official said, “The man, identified as Pratik alias Sunny Rajendra Pawar, was admitted to the ICU of a hospital for injuries to his head and other parts of the body”.

The official informed that the attack took place when Pawar and Amit Mane, the complainant in the case, were on their way to attend an event. They were on their two-wheeler waiting for their third friend near the medical shop.

According to news reports, 14 Muslim men, with a few minors, attacked Pratik Pawar in front of a medical shop at Akkabai Chowk in Karjat town. After this, An FIR was registered against 14 people.

The attackers have been booked under Sections 307 (Attempt to murder),143 (Being a member of an unlawful assembly), rioting, 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), and 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

Till now, the Police have arrested all the 14 suspects in the case and detained a minor. All the accused hail from Ahmednagar. The police in its initial stage of investigation have not ruled out any angle. They are probing the claim that Pratik was attacked for allegedly putting a post in support of Nupur Sharma.

Evidently, the complaint filed by Mane states, “One of the attackers shouted at Pawar saying he had written a post on social media in support of Nupur Sharma and also put the status on Instagram after Kanhaiya Lal and attacked him.”

Religious fanaticism

Tragically, the list of Hindu victims who either suffered serious injuries or lost their lives at the hands of religious bigots is getting longer and longer. The Sar-tan-se-juda slogans have spilt blood virtually on every street of the nation. Such hateful bigoted slogans are terrorising innocent civilians everywhere. This abhorrent barbarism was first witnessed in the Maharashtra killing.

In June, a chemist named Umesh Kolhe was stabbed to death by Islamists. What was his crime? Apparently, he was alleged for sharing a post on some WhatsApp groups in support of Nupur Sharma who is alleged of committing blasphemy. However, the Maha Vikas Aghadi government tried everything to sweep this gruesome murder under the carpet. Their attempt to bury the truth failed miserably. The facts of the horrendous killing surfaced when a similar case happened in Rajasthan.

On 28 June, in Udaipur, a Hindu tailor named Kanhaiya Lal was butchered by two Jihadis. They waved their cleavers and made a video of their savagery. Here also, the crime of the innocent victim was that someone from his house had shared a post in support of Nupur Sharma.

In Madhya Pradesh’s Raisen district, an engineering student Nishank Rathore was found dead on a railway track. His father received a mysterious text message from his phone – your son was a very brave Rathour Sahab. Followed by “Gustakh-e-Nabi ki ek saza, sar tan se juda”.

In Riwa, Madhya Pradesh, Mukesh Tiwari, brother of an RSS worker was brutally assaulted while on his way to the office. According to media reports, Mohammad Suleman called Mukesh for some important conversation and when he got there, Suleman attacked him with sticks. Here also, the alleged crime being the same, that is, putting a post in support of Nupur.

— Amar Ujala (@AmarUjalaNews) July 24, 2022

On July 20, a Madhya Pradesh-resident Ayush Jadam, a Bajrang Dal activist, was allegedly attacked by Islamists for supporting ex-BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma. It was reported that 10-12 people attacked him with sharp weapons.

In Bihar’s Sitamarhi, 23-year-old youth Ankit Kumar Jha was stabbed six times following a scuffle at a roadside shop with the accused. The victim accused that he was attacked for uploading a status in support of Nupur Sharma.

On 5th July, Deepak, the victim, had allegedly put a post in support of Nupur Sharma. This infuriated a Muslim guy named Raaes which spiralled into a fist fight. It is alleged that Raees called 20-30 men and beat Deepak.

Then there are countless those who have received a barrage of derogatory messages and death threats. In Bhilwara, Police arrested five people for giving death threats to Ayush Soni.

This hate crime has a chilling effect on freedom of speech. It undermines the law-and-order situation in the nation. Most important of all, it undermines the right to life of a citizen.  In a democratic setup, nobody has the right to take anybody else’s life for whatever the issue may be.  It is time for law enforcement agencies to launch a zero-tolerance policy against these hate crimes and imbibe a fear of law in such criminals.
